I loved the original Mad Max movies back in the day, especially the first one.

But these modern remake/reboot/etc. that come out decades later just ain't it. I'm not talking just about Mad Max either. I'm talking about all of them. I can't really think of any of them that capture the magic of the originals.

The last one with Tom Hardy was pretty good. To me it just ruins it by making it a Mad Max movie. Just make it it's own thing and call it something else.

I'll probably watch it when it comes out for streaming, but I'm sure I'll bitch about it like a Boomer.

I saw the trailer for the first time yesterday and literally thought it was a parody. Color gradient looks super weird, cgi looks super chit, main chick looks legit retarded. If they fixed the effects and had the other chick in it then I'd probably watch it but this chit is looking like direct-to-vhs tier.

edit: lmao max isn't even in this chit, there is a "cameo" by tom hardy's stunt double, lmao

Seeing the trends of all the reboots/remakes doesn't grab me at all.
Add to that the feminizing of the originals is a total turn off.
I won't be looking to view it.

That's what they did to the new Zorro series too.
By episode 4 the the 're-imagining' of the main character became clear and I checked out.

But, that's just me.
