    Best place for budget travel?

Portugal came up in mind. Anywhere else or where in Portugal?

Won’t let me search this so I’m creating a thread.

Lisbon is on my list. Also Croatia, Albania, Greece and Turkey. Planning a trip this fall. Just came back from a 6 month trip in SE Asia.

Really depends on what you want to do, how much money you can spend and how long.

Well where are you leaving from?
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

Most of Europe is cheaper to travel to than anywhere in the US. I'm talking big cities like NYC, Miami, Los Angeles, Vegas vs. places like Amsterdam, Prague, Milan, etc. In places like Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, your US dollar will go a lot farther than in the US, and there's plenty of cool stuff to visit/see. Places like France, Italy, Spain, your $ won't go as far but it's still cheaper than the US. Public transport is also relatively cheap whereas in the US you have to rent a car almost everywhere you go if you want to get around and explore.

I have been going to the alps to ski in recent years because, aside from airfare, it's much cheaper to ski in Europe. In France I paid about $550 for a week pass+ ski rental. In Switzerland is was about double for a week (and Switzerland is considered an expensive country). However, ski resorts in the US charge like $200-300 for a day pass these day, and they're crowded af with overpriced chitty ski resort food. In Europe I can enjoy a fresh real meal (I'm talking crepes, schnitzel, doner) and have a liter of beer at the top of the mountain with amazing views and vibe.

I'd rather pay the airfare and ski in the alps, where it's less crowded and much better mountains.

Greece is GOAT. Awesome food, beautiful women, and lots of nice islands to see.

I love Greece, but it is no really a budget place. Even Thailand is getting priced fairly. Think Cambodia. Kenya. Solomon Islands.
