About 95% of the jobs I'm looking at have office hours of 8 to 5, not 9 to 5

I had a job once that had 1 hour unpaid lunches. It was such a waste of time that I requested to not have lunch and leave an hour earlier. I just ate at my desk. Salary > hourly jobs. Hourly jobs are gay.

If you make $40/hr and get unpaid lunch, that's $800/month you're missing out on.

I used to do 7:30-4:30. Nowadays, been 8:00-5:00 for about 7 years.

there are laws about it in some areas, especially in manufacturing - so if the hourly guys on the floor have an hour off for lunch, then the salaried employees have to have it as well.

I'm at my computer at 0600 and walk out of the office & close the door for the night at about 1800. I also answer phone calls up to about 2200 and weekends.

I've got a buddy who runs his own business and gets to his office at about 0500 and leaves about 1900.

People who clock in/clock out at standard office hours are low effort plebs....and they're usually the same people who complain about work and not making enough money.
