AC games are kinda wank now anyway, AC3 was probably my favorite, then origins/oddeysey.

Political BS aside, the problem is they make beautiful worlds (Oddeysey & Origins for example was a great world for anyone who likes the classical world)... but after about 5 hours the game play is the most repetitive chit ever, which seems to be something they've been completely unconcerned with addressing.

I don't think there's any evidence he became a samurai though, but we know he was a slave and dressed like a warrior and used as one. Samurai are more than just soldiers IIRC - it's an actual specific class and nobility, maybe TappinZen can confirm this.


I like how it seems we can play as duo protagonists, but something tells me they're looking for a way to be woke without having to admit it by finding this rare instance of a black samurai character.

Samurai was a political class. The ruling elite. Yasuke was called a retainer. But he was basically brought to Japan a slave. His role, even if he were given weapons/armor and involved in fighting. Would have very much been similar to a slave or servant. Doubt he was payed. He most likely received food/housing in return for his loyalty/service. So basically just a slave with no real ability to leave or return home.


However its 2024. The libs are trying to pretend like an African was imported to Japan and became some kind of great warrior/Samurai.

Samurai were paid retainers by lords in exchange for protection and bodyguard or soldier services. In today's world you can pay a lawyer a retainer so that when you call him at midnight for whatever reason, he's available.
