not sure how it's in the rest of the world but it's a holiday here today
what's worse is it's in the middle of the league play-offs lmfao
so Union has to play on Monday (which IS a working day) in what could be a decisive match for the title (away at Bruges)
I preferred the old way when the Cup Final was the closing match of the season+++ miscin' at work crew +++

I agree, but the main thing I was fearing was that the three relegated from last season would be the same 3 coming back up.Boring! I hope someone other than Leeds or Southampton comes through from the playoffs.
Don't mind Leicester coming back since I did think it was really bad luck for them, they're a top flight tier team. Leeds can fuk off. I want someone new other than Southampton. Ipswich town and someone else.
I really feel bad for Luton though. It was always going to be an uphill battle with the difficulty spike of the top flight, and now they're all but mathematically relegated. They would have to win by 6 against Fulham and Forest to lose by 6, at least.
I like stories of underdogs. Luton had the chance to be everyone's second team this season but their fan base was really chitty. A victim complex so severe it could rival the Trumpers in the R/P, tragedy chants, constant whining about refs and injuries.
But, I hear from fans of teams who aren't one of the Big 6 that they're often relieved when their team goes back down to the Championship, because of Prem's terrible refereeing and VAR, and really only genuine fans showing up to the stadium.
Luton will get dat dere parachute money though, which will be good for long term sustainability even though they had a bad time in the top flight for now. Hoping to see them back at some time, even though it was pretty obvious they're not PL quality just yet (and the stadium is laughable, brb can see down into people's backyards from the away end stairs).
EDIT: All my support is now behind Spurs to get them to trip up City.Last edited by Bodhy; 05-11-2024 at 08:39 PM.
Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.

Luton have some solid players they’ll have to sell off that will bring in funds along with the parachute money.
They’ve been on TV here in the States a lot, every time I watch them play Tahith Chong has been the best player on the field on either team. Ross Barkley has seen a career resurgence. Carlton Morris is a quality player.
Really surprising they will be going down but they’ve conceded a lot of late goals and been unlucky, which is how you go down

Idk how one can make such as assessment as “by far” the best.
Eliminated from CL before the final
Still have not won PL, and if they do the margin is likely to be a very narrow 2 points
I believe City are the best team in the world but several are close. Real, Bayern, Bayer, Arsenal are all right there

Fuk you fhaggot. City are cheats and the club launders blood money. Any team could be the best if they cheat. City are the Lance Armstrong of football. They're the Trump of football.
They do the same thing Trump does too to avoid the consequences. They stonewall it all in the courts by lawyering up with oil money, and just ride it out until a statute of limitations expires.
City without illegitimate Arabian money are a bottom half side.Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.

Kind of a cool story. I guess Messi signed his first agreement to join Barcelona in principle on a napkin when he was 13. That napkin just sold at auction for nearly $1M.
