Still want to go to college in the long-term for computer science or graphic design, but I know the ROI on both of those isn’t great right now, and who knows how it’ll be in 3-4 years.
Need to increase my income asap and been thinking about trades. Which would you brahs recommend? I have no experience with any manual labor and I’m not particularly handy at all, so I’d be totally green. Been considering electrical, but I dunno.

Sounds about right from what I saw.
~$18 an hour starting, after a decade maybe make ~$28 an hour as a journeyman, after 20 years maybe ~$40 an hour as a master/foreman/GF/your own ticket/whatever.
Years and pay varies by trade and location. its what I roughly saw in the SW for sparkies.MАGА 2024. I rep pаtriots, and neg anti-american phægots. "You have given out too much Reputation in the last 24 hours, try again later." most of the day, but I give when I can.

Start mowing lawns. My landscaper told me years ago he was paying dudes over $20 an hour to start. And he said he’s always under staffed.
He started about 10 yrs ago, just him and a pick up truck that barely worked. I’ve seen him with 3 trucks loaded with workers, and a brand new pick up for him alone.
A few dudes I went to high school with started landscaping businesses. All have FU money now.

Not in the trades but I’ve spent 10 years now helping to manage heavy industrial construction projects, and in my corner of the world I’d go for something mechanical like pipefitting as process piping makes up the biggest % of cost in the big projects
I’m on a project right now where guys with trades backgrounds are invoicing $1200-1700/day as Construction Supervisors on the Client side

I'm a journeyman moldmaker. Made pretty good money when I was on the bench but got into management years ago. The only downside is you have to be where there is an industry that needs that type of trade. Luckily we have an abundance in this area. Lots of automotive suppliers. If I had to do it over again I might go electrician or HVAC.
