We grow a bunch in the garden every year, so we eat a lot every summer. I just steam them. I think the closest vegetable I've had to steamed beets is steamed carrots. Beets are sweeter though.

I've canned a lot of dill pickles the past couple years. I like beets pickled, too, but not necessarily more than steamed. It would be convenient for storage. One of these years I need to do a batch. My wife doesn't like pickled stuff in general or else I probably would have tried it by now.

just get beet powder and mix it in juice. You get all the benefits of beets.

beets are a superfood IMO.

it's not hard to cook them yourself. just wrap in foil and roast in the oven for 45-60 min depending on size. for huge beets i cut them in half. the skin comes right off after you roast them, don't even need a peeler.

nah if you roast them they get nice and soft, and it brings out the natural sugars.
