Or do you deescalate the situation. Feels like these days cameras are everywhere and if you get into a fight even as self defence you risk a criminal record and lose your career (assuming you do something worthwhile like STEM, tradies can brawl all they want).
Any cool stories?

A few times but very rarely, it's usually been when I'm out with my brahs and out of nowhere one of them gets into an altercation then seconds later a brawl erupts.
Majority of the time if tension rises, I always try to get de escalate the situation before people start swinging.
Last proper fight I had was about two years ago, was walking around town then one of mates was arguing with this guy and four of friends, fuk knows what it was about.
Seconds later they all start swinging so the rest of us jump in, I rocked some guy in the jaw then ended up tripping over. Then one of his friends starts kicking me in the head and I'm just covering head chitting myself. My other friends then rugby tackles the bloke to save me.
We then notice some by passer filming all of us so they all get up and run off. Wasn't injured thankfully with no cuts or bruises.
But yeah I try to avoid violence as much as I can on nights out its not worth it, I do have a some friends though who turn into hot heads when they drink so always gotta be aware of potential trouble.

Nah I've always thought people that try to provoke fights or want to fight you have some insecurity issues, but like you said yeah self defense obviously if someone socks you from behind then I'd hit back.
I'm def the type to de escalate things...I have friends that try to fight ppl sometimes, and I look at them, and tell them mate it's not worth it. Then they calm down.
Since we are on the topic of fighting check this out. Liu Kang turned Chase into a mechanic. "Ok I can see some work probably needs to be done here" LMAO

Was a bouncer for three years in university so had to de-escalate my share of situations. Because I'm not a massive guy my boss would usually send me in to talk the guys down rather than the big guys who would wait behind me to get my back if I had a problem. 90% of the time they would just swear at you but leave. If they swung it was more a matter of containment. Got punched in the head more than once but I also know basic grappling so most of the time it was easy to avoid or counter.
If they were a real problem they would get taken out the back instead of the front and get tuned up a bit before getting kicked to the curb.

A few times. The last time someone got in my face I had an injury that would have definitely risked my demise. So while the dude was yelling at me I just jumped back and stripped naked. Put my hands up and said let’s do this bro.
He freaked out and backed off. I got kicked out and jumped in a taxi. Went home and ate some chicken nuggets.

Nah, I'm not trashy. If someone pushed me enough I guess it could happen bc I don't back down, but I'm not the kind to get into situations like that. I got into a small, heated exchange with a guy one time, but he backed down. He was drunk af and out of line and he actually ended up in jail that night lol. He started looking me up and down and looked at my arms and said, "You're the gun show huh?" lol Felt good

Anyone remember that vid that was posted here of this jacked guy in a club with his hands up, just swinging at a bunch of twinks who weren't doing anything to them? Like they were trying to calm him down and he was cold-clocking twink after twink. The bodies were just piling up, completely slack-jawed. Crazy video. Always wondered what I would do in that situation.

Luckily no. One of the closer calls was at a pretty busy new bar. I was leaving and the bar was 5 deep so I put an empty glass on a table some people were standing by for the hostess to grab. One of the dudes picks it up and tries to hand it back to me and says "think you forgot this." I sat it right back down on the table and told him what I was doing. We did this two or three times before his friends told him to chill out lol. Another time I was walking down a strip of bars and a guy did the little bump with his shoulder into mine for no reason. Saw him standing in line a while later and did the same thing back. Guess his buddies knew he was three sheets because they just grabbed him and ushered him away when he tried to bow up. I am not as big of an idiot now.

I got sucker punched at a wedding reception outside of a bar once
It was my buddies wedding and he rented out a restaurant/bar for the reception.
It was the end of the night and me and my gf and him and his wife and a few others were going back to his house after. We were all standing outside waiting for the Uber.
Some dude from no where, just a random walking down the street, sucker punched me from behind. Luckily for me, very luckily for me, this guy must have been on drugs because he didn't connect with me very well at all. I immediately turned and cracked him in the face and got on top of him and started some ground and pound til everyone broke us up. He took a second, got up, and just ran. Never said a single word through this whole thing, I'll never know why he did it.
But I seriously look back and thank my lucky stars I didn't get knocked out cold. That was the only time my gf ever saw me in violent situation and I'm glad I ****ed the dude up so I didn't look like a bish. Srs.
Also the only fight I've been in as an adult. I also have a permentky fugged up left shoulder because when they pulled me off I was dragging him around with me with one arm and I guess the adrenaline and beer muscles didn't let me realize that until the next day.Sometimes I park in handicap spaces, while handicap people make handicap faces

Never. Closest scenario was at a minor league baseball game. I was with my wife and a few friends and their girls just hanging out. We always end up shooting the sht and catching up if we haven't seen each other in a while. Some dude with another group of people out of nowhere thought someone was talking sht about them...kind of brush it off but next thing you know my bud dumps a beer on the guy. I wouldn't say that's 100% out of character but almost. Anyway, dude throws a beer back, couple punches are thrown, I try to break it up and next thing you know my buddy takes off, leaps a fence out of the stadium that is like a 15 foot plus drop and runs off into the night. Thankfully nothing else happened and the elderly ushers didn't give a fuk as long as nobody continued to fight. My buddy is also terrible with directions so we had to drive all over to find him and pick him up after his adrenaline rush went down. Pretty funny looking back on it.

From what I've seen it's rarely about sloots
Couple weeks back I saw a guy walk past another guy in a club and accidentally knocked him slightly. Other guy spins around and tries to kick him but misses, dude doesn't even notice. He follows the other guy a few steps before giving up trying to follow him and stumbles over to the bar for another drink.
Shook my head at the whole thing, truly pissening.13% do 52% AA's gonna AA

No - I've never had any issues with anybody in a nightclub except for one or two people being rude.
