Sorry to hear about your friend, Ben. Sending positive vibes.
and I believe with stuff like this, you gotta trust your instincts. I believe it's the best system we got for determining self-preservation as a principle priority.
Assuming of course you dont have bad instincts, in which case please dont breed.
and I'm 99% sure it's Ben.

I dig.
and I gotta be honest and say I'm wondering if I'm laying down "too much chaz" here lately? Since the accident, this place has been the closest thing to being in the gym, I'm permitted. And when I say permitted, I dont mean it in an authoritative way. Anyways, I can see how it could be too much chaz. Chaz has a dial that's currently set on 5 out of 11. Chaz is always open to constructive criticism. Well, almost always.

Nah man you are good, this place has so many different personalities and perspectives it's what keeps this place interesting. Hell this place actually helped me to see things differently, not in a million years would I be talking to people so different from me in real life. In real life we would never cross paths, hell how many people do you really know who are from the South Bronx born and raised and STILL live there? Perspective brotha perspective....you are good.

Bizarrely, if you smoke you are probably less likely to get COVID and probably more likely to have milder symptoms if you do get it (https://ebm.bmj.com/content/early/20...bm-2020-111492).
This is one reason China might be (although it's hard to trust their figures) less badly hit than some other countries as so many of them smoke. 2/3rds Chinese men for example (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoking_in_China)
FWIW... I'm not suggesting heavy smoking is good on balance, just might be beneficial in the specific exception of COVID19
38% ? Really??? Oh **** that's bad to hear.
Best wishes, thoughts and prayers for their recoveryLast edited by OldFartTom; 01-06-2021 at 11:55 PM.

It isn't too bad here yet. Parts of Sydney are on lockdown and is compulsory to wear masks indoors and on public transport in the Greater Sydney area. Elsewhere is by choice. I have to wear one everyday when I go to the hospital in the city but no issue really and is standard for any medical related premises. It's a piece of f#cking paper over your face ffs and if you don't wear it you don't get in.Pretty simple.School holidays here nationwide, and most go back in three weeks so the concern is people are travelling and many from some of the open Sydney areas are moving around NSW. Queensland is open again to most of NSW but all other states are closed to anyone from Sydney, and Victoria has closed it's borders again to everyone.

Thanks. We have been dealing with the situation for a while and since May things escalated and I could manage at home until 12 days ago she needed to be admitted. The plan is another two weeks and bring her home hopefully, but we have a long period of intensive treatment ahead. The last seven months have been difficult.
