JFL at home workouts making you lose interest. I've overtrained for the first time in 10 years of lifting since getting a home gym. If you bored, try out different styles of lifting. I did calisthenics during gym closure period and it was more fun than lifting with barbells. I've tried some kettle bell stuff to which I liked more than dumbbell training.

Get a 9kg medicine ball and throw it round the park till you gas out.
Its cheap, and great for HIIT, explosiveness and burning fat. Nice for a change of scenery too.
It is weather dependent, so that could be a problem depending on your location
All the best brah

Firstly, you have to look at working out as a HYGIENE duty, like brushing your teeth or wiping your ass. I don't love either activity but I have never failed to do either. The same with working out. I have been lifting almost without fail since I was a teen and you cannot quit.
Secondly, I have changed my routine a lot of the years.
I used to do some lifting and more cardio, then I did HOURS of heavy lifting, then I switched to German Volume training, then EXTREME volume, and now I'm doing one full body workout that is heavy and the rest of the days cardio.
If you're an actual lifter and fitness person, not just lifting to look good, it's really fun to experiment.
I used to be in the gym daily for at least two hours and now I'm only lifting once a week, so it's fun to get in there and really attack. Also, instead of doing cardio machines, I'm walking around my area and going to the gym to do cardio only on certain days. As winter hits, I will change again.
Always be trying some new experiment. If you want to ask me a question:

when its 5 degrees outside you don't feel like going anywhere. Especially since I get home at 6pm when its dark out.
I prefer sparring, but I find if I'm not 100% in shape I become a punching bag, especially since I spar pro's or other amateurs who are training for national competitions. But once again, with my work schedule I can't do this anymore. Plus I feel like brain damage will become an issue if I keep up with the sparring.
yes this is correct. Otherwise I will feel like chit constantly. Besides, there is nothing for me to do beside working and working out.- lord and saviour of the trap

I know these feels. Had to get a franchise gym membership to go club-hopping to switch things up. Gym-club hopped with current franchise so far in 3 states, 12 different clubs, and 5 cities. Will club hop more once 'rona goes away.
Going to a new gym every so often gives you a fresh change of scenery and can discover/learn new machines and gym layouts (even though mostly the same, lol).
Also, it helps to change your routine, change machines, change the order and type of exercises. Even the time of day you go.
Like others ITT have recommended, experiment switching things up. Novelty is the best antidote to boredom.

Don't you worry too much,
you just belong to the majority.
99.9% of people who lift
will quit before 60 anyway.

No lie I've been getting bored hitting up the gym for like over a year now LOL. The peak of my fun in the gym was essentially 5 years ago when I was in college and working out with friends who motivated me. Honestly didn't realize at the time how awesome that experience was. Cracking jokes and talking about life between sets, motivating each other to get one extra rep in or to increase the weights. Good times.
TBH I've been spicing up my workouts a little bit lately with some 420 beforehand. Makes the lifting/running itself feel less strenuous, and the music from the earbuds and distractions on the phone more fun (I've noticed my workouts take like 20% longer though lol, but I'm also doing more workouts that I'd normally do too).

Think of exercise like eating healthier foods: it’s for the overall performance it gives your body so you don’t turn to sh!t. Whether it’s lifting, cardio and/or doing a routine like kickboxing, boxing etc it all helps. Switch it up but don’t stop the exercise whatever it is.
Your nutrition and workout program determines your success.

Gotta do something different or possible get more focused. Most people who get bored do so because they aren't progressing. If you aren't progressing then lifting can get very tedious.
- reevaluate your routine.
- stop doing exercises you don't like or don't feel natural.
- Make sure diet, supplementation and sleep are in order
- start log booking (if you don't already)
- cut back frequency if needed. 3x a week is plenty to stay in shape if you train correctly.6'1 - 240lbs

Change your training. No athlete does the same thing year round. You have conditioning cycles, strength cycles, explosiveness cycles, and mobility cycles. Pick one and MAINTAIN for the rest.
Bodybuilders are the only potatoes to do the same training year round, whilst looking like a bag of ass.*Hole is Life Crew*

Change up the routine and or location (i know it's not that easy considering covid). Maybe take a week and just go do some calisthenics in the park or something to mix it up. You're probably depressed a bit internally and it's spilling over into other areas of your life. It's not uncommon for working out to become stale when you have other things going wrong. Push through and grind it out or change things up for a week or two and try to reinvigorate yourself. Remember that not working out is not going to help in any respect so there is little logic to stopping now even if it's boring. Sometimes you've got to push through it regardless of if you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
