Christian Bale had such a great performance in American Psycho

I feel like in a few of his recent movies he just "phones" it in sometimes.

the way Patrick says with trembling voice and dry throat: "Let's see Paul Allen's card..." is one of the best moments in the movie. The pure fear in his eyes knowing that if Allen's card is really better than his, he will break down completely and nothing will matter anymore

2:22 Christians ability to vocally display emotional distraught over something as trivial as a business card amazing.

Bale himself added all these fantastic details: dance, screams, gestures. Secondly, geniuses are often ahead of their time,

I'm thinking I'm going to pick up the book and read it. I heard the movie leaves a lot from the book.

He's my fav actor but I'm feeling this too a bit. Like in Terminator Salvation it looks like he wasn't into it 100% and now he's just doing boring movies based on historical characters only. Like he is trying to get another Oscar, Leo style.

I'm very curious to see what he will do in Thor 4 and I hope it shake things up.

Great film, Mary Harron ****ing nailed it. I wonder what Bret Easton Ellis thought of it though?

The book is like reading some of Hemingway's later stuff. A chore.
