Tip: Only put one pistol in each quick safe. It's way too easy to remove a gun from the safe and forget to lock it because you just took a gun out, which is obviously an issue to anybody who wants to have the safe in the first place.

Large enough to fit your carry gun in its holster, a spare mag, wallet. Or just a fully loaded handgun in a holster to cover the trigger guard. This is a factor people often overlook. You probably don't want a fully loaded ready to rock pistol in a quick safe and not in a holster, because you probably don't want to be reaching in the dark/while looking away, for a loaded gun especially when under stress...nor do you necessarily want to leave it unchambered and have to rack the slide and not short stroke it or whatever else other things...in a holster and loaded just like you carry it is a great way to do it IME/IMO. And this often means a larger pistol safe than most especially if you have an OWB holster or a dual-split-clip design (the best kind) of IWB that's pretty wide

How many of you guys with Ring doorbells are running them with just battery power and how long does a charge last? Our front door has a pretty thin area where the doorbell is. Pretty sure if I got one, it would have to just go in another spot and run from the battery.

Not sure what your setup is like, but I have a really small entryway to the front door and the doorbell was placed on the wall perpendicular to the door. I put an angled mount there have the Ring wired in facing out at about a 45 (or I guess 55) degree angle and it seems to work well enough.

I took your recommendation and watched Umbrella Academy. I didn't have high hopes from the trailer but it was very entertaining. If you want a John Wick style action movie without a bunch of plot watch Extraction with Chris Hemsworth. It's not as good John Wick but I liked it a lot

Bladerunner is legit and the new with Gosling is really good too. They are both slow burn neo noir detective movies at heart. They just wrap them up in cyberpunk aesthetics

Stuff is the truth. Can basically do a full body ass kicking in ~35 minutes with resistance bands, ammo cans, wooden dowels, and a couple of pretty light dumbells.

I'm doing his full on plan so it's a 4 day split - power, strength, "speed & quickness" (agility), and hypertrophy. Day 5 is skills (my normal dry fire Friday stuff I'll probably do then, but with less emphasis on squatting and kneeling position stuff...more high ready low ready, more pistol dry fire).

Power is basically 3 x 1 minute circuits of 5 or 6 exercises. 2 should be transverse plane (bag of body parts, one handed dumbell press, smashing a smash ball, throwing a tire, or whacking a tire with a sledge)

Strength is 5 sets x 5 exercises x 5 reps per exercise of progressive load, 2s up, 2s hold, 2s down so pretty slow and heavy. Normal compound strength stuff so squats, deads, but also things like dumbell pushups into rows. I did this one today and it rekt me pretty hard.

Agility is 4 x 1 minute circuits of agility work. I haven't done this one yet...that's for Wednesday.

Hypertrophy is Thursday...it's basically your strength exercises but instead of a bunch of low rep sets, it's 5 or 6 exercises, 20 rep sets to absolute failure followed by drop sets all the way down.



This is totally different than anything else I've done before. The unique parts are emphasis on lots of rotational / "transverse" plane stuff, and the multiple different *types* of workouts that are essentially full body, just emphasizing different things (power, agility, strength...). I'm wondering to see how I'll respond as natty since I've always followed traditional bodybuilding workouts that are very clearly intended for guys that are juiced up (5 day bro split, PPL etc) and not nearly as combat-focused. The truth is, I probably don't need a lot of heavy lifting to maintain the muscle that I do have, but I'm looking to be more resilient against injury and powerful with respect to rotation, punches, kicks, etc.

I'd love some NODs. But aren't you looking at dropping 15-20k for a good set up? You'd need a MAWL, the actual night vision binoculars, and then a helmet and mount?

i know and i agree. i would have bought some 3A vests with level 3 plates but theyre out of stock. i will buy that when i can though.

all the talks about buying new guns (other than the aero M5s) are intended for later.

i also have alot of food, water and other random items like soap, and toothpaste. i basically realized that whatever i had on hand before the pandemic i needed at least triple of everything.
