I'm gonna throw those snatch grip RDL's back in the mix after I come off my deload, that hammy stretch is REAL. I like the db version too but my gym's DB rack maxes out at 120's...

No avi + no vids + critique on any BB movement = ayyy lmao
Impressiveverynice.png - but how do you stack up against JoeyCentral? Guess we'll never know.
Thanks for the ether brah, now I need to find a better place than misc to hide.
Have not tried 4 plate RDL, might do it today. Last set a month back was 365x8 strapped, so I am likely close.

i don't lift heavy anymore. I just do circuit training stuff to maintain my current mass, and burn calories so i can drink beer and eat pizza on the weekends.
Yesterday I did 8 sets of 15 with 135lbs. 45 seconds of rests between each set. By the 4th set my glutes and hamstrings were on fire. When I finished the 8th set, I felt the total body exhaustion I used to feel after high school wrestling practices.DCA'ing FXS since Sept2022

That's the difference between an intermediate and advanced lifter. You're able to "feel" when a certain lift has a poor ROI for your body. For me that was Good Mornings. I could put a 2.5lb twink weight on either side, do a single rep and was like... yeah no i'm gonna kill myself.
I'm over 30 and a desk jocky. I'm perfectly fine lifting for aesthetics. Regular deadlifts i'm doing 315 for reps. Romanians i'll do 205 and just focus on getting quality reps in over the sheer number. Anyone who wants to argue with me on this can just look at the current state of Jay Cutler vs Ronnie Coleman.DCA'ing FXS since Sept2022

I can do about 405 for sets of 8-10. It's a tough movement and snatch grip makes it easier to keep a neutral spine, engaging your lats and keeping your point on form.

Yeah but that's why threads like this are a blessing, even with the usual chit posting from losers.
The waiver you need to sign to join that gym tho...damn.
I slightly tore a muscle in my lower back doing barbell rows a bit ago and it is almost fully healed. Never done RDLs before but if it'll help me get my overall deadlift numbers up (I tend to stall either on the floor or a few inches off the floor) I'm game.

Couple of beasts in fbis thread, mirin videos.
I could maybe do 4 plates for a few reps, haven't focused on barbell RDL's in years.Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

They really helped me with the grind from the shins up on conventional deads.
Helped me form the mindset that if I get it off the ground Im not missing the lift, because the hardest part is done.
Also really good to help cue the body to keep the lower posterior chain working in unison.
