Gaspari Nutrition Proven Egg Salted Caramel Review.
I would first off like to thank Dougefresh for hooking me up with a tub of Gaspari’s Proven Egg in the salted caramel flavor. First off upon opening the tub, you can really get a sweet smell of the salted caramel. I mixed a heaping scoop of protein with roughly 6-8 ounces of water, however after mixing, it was still a bit thick for my liking. I added another 4 ounces of water and it was perfect for me. At roughly 12 ounces of water, this protein mixed rather thick, creamy, and frothy. The thicker consistency is most likely due to being an egg protein. I had no issues with clumps, lumps, or foam.
As far as taste goes, I really got the sweet caramel flavor we are all used to, which was quickly followed by a salty tone. Gaspari really did a great job with this flavor. If you are a fan of salted caramel deserts or treats, you will be a fan of this protein. I must say for me personally I could not have this everyday, as feel I would get burnt out of it. It is a flavor though that would be in the rotation for sure though.
Overall thoughts on Gaspari Proven Eggs protein is that this protein is worth giving a try to see if you like it. I personally liked the macros of this protein, flavor was spot on, and mixibility was great. I had no stomach issues either as there is no diary in this protein powder. This protein is flavored with stevia. I personally didn't really notice any sort of aftertaste that stevia leaves on certain products. The only issue I could see is the cost. It is on the higher priced side, at roughly a $1.50 a serving, which is pricey for some. Knowing that you are getting quality protein, with a solid flavor, and profile, its worth the money. Thank you again to Dougefresh for letting me try this protein out and I apologize about the wait.
