How annoying is that stupid ESPN banner at the bottom of the screen? Holy **** it's driving me nuts, get rid of it ffs it just takes up screen space for what we're watching. When you tune in to something you expect to have the entire screen dedicated to it and not some dumb fuk banner taking up part of it, idk if I'm being unreasonable here but it's maddening to me.

For a pay service its highly annoying, but that's always been their M.O. since day 1. Maybe if there's enough complaints thru social media, people can get it to stop. That's usually the way nowadays to get companies to take notice.

I still listen to Ariel's Monday show via podcast. But yeah his YouTube presence isn't as big anymore. Some of that is probably offset because an abridged version of his show airs on ESPN 2. Plus as the ESPN+ app grows, he's one of the key figures there, so I think they're just thinking about the long game.

Nice, I never liked Ariel's show because it's less opinions and analysis and more reporting. Interviewing a fighter is like interviewing a hyper-health conscious construction labourer.

My dude, the guy was on his knees. It was clearly an upkick to a downed opponent. Should have lost a point.

Turner was on his knees (grounded) and Frevola was throwing his heels to do damage, he wasn't trying to sweep or attack a submission. Goddard made the wrong call but he also can't use replay without a fight ending sequence. Turner lost the decision but could have won with a DQ if he stayed down.

Judging McGregor's twitter tonight they will probably have him fight the winner of the interim title fight to determine Khabib's next challenger. Obviously they are hoping for Holloway because he lasted 3 rounds against McGregor and has improved a lot. This would be the right call because a Khabib vs McGregor immediate rematch makes no sense, even if it would do big money.
