I used to read meters when I was in college. I woman I worked with was in a backyard she had been in a bunch of times that had a pit chained up back there. This one day the pit broke the chain and mauled her. She had to get hundreds of stitches and one of her breasts was removed by the dog. The owner afterwards said that the dog had never showed any signs of aggression before. Please don't leave small children near them. Chances are they won't bite but its not worth the risk

Every dog I have ever owned, and will ever own, has been a rescue. I don't go in looking for a certain type/ breed/ color, I'm looking for a connection. In the case of my pit, she walked right up to the cage door and sat down and just smiled at me. I took her to the shelter's social area and just felt an instant connection.
I'm way cool FYI

I got my dog from a pitbull rescue my old boss use to run, it's kinda sad how pitbulls are treated and I don't know the statistic but I think they are one of the breeds that get put down the most, they are also one of the only breads that are banned in certain city's. There's a lot of places that won't let you live their if you have a pitbull. I honestly believe my dog will have the best life possible living with me... He is also a great partner for cardio.

I'm curious as to what your argument is here as well. You keep saying that if he goes to a hospital and checks the records(as if some random person can go to any medical facility and demand this info, lol)it will prove your point. You still haven't provided any data. Do you work at a hospital and can provide some actual data or will you just continue to use "pretty sure" as a factual statement?

I wanted a dog that had a high pain threshold (because kids are around), Loyal, athletic, sensitive to leadership. These unfortunately are also the same reasons azzholes fought them.
had to put down the old doge last month.
This was him when he was younger

My point was that eyewitness accounts aren't reliable. Unless you know how they're getting this info or have access to any of it yourself, your claim that they are the top dog in attacks doesn't mean much, particularly if the dogs are reported to be misidentified regularly. https://www.dogexpert.com/problems-w...dentification/
Lots of people cannot properly identify any of the pitbull breeds"So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."

You guys are clearly part of the pitbull crew, and one is a forum admin, so yeah, I'm done arguing here.
I would bet money (srs), that if you did what I said, check the inpatient logs of all US hospitals / morgues, the highest dog fatalities attacks would come from pitbull and pitbull mixes.
Anyway I'm done here.

Lmao there's no "pitbull crew" on misc.
How are we supposed to check it exactly? P sure inpatient logs are not just handed out to any stranger or even any family member. And why do you keep ignoring the fact that eyewitness counts are not reliable?
No one is going to neg you again. I'm already on R/C, and as long as you can continue to discuss civilly, so will we. And if we can have a legitimate conversation without insults, I'll even go so far as to remember to rep you next time to offset the neg if you're that worried about it
Also would love some proof on the claim that any trace of pitbull genetics means a dog is instantly more likely to attack."So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. If you go to a local hospital its very unlikely they'd have records of any pitbull attacks. There is actually very few occurrences and hospitals don't aggregate information from each other. You really think among the thousands of hospitals they're gonna have records of any of the maybe 300 attacks? There might be data in hospital logs scattered around the world, but there's no proof of that. You only hear about these attacks because these stories get views.
Lets assume your graph indicating 284 pitbull bites happened. Compare that to the estimated 29 people who die daily in the US (an actually tracked statistic by the NHTSA). Maybe we should just make alcohol and Pits illegal and solve all our problems. There is a certain threshold to safety risks in which it is not worth worrying about. If 284 people were killed by different Pitbulls then thats 0.00007% of all Pits in the United States. There are more deaths every year from things that people do everyday that are not a necessity to life, but make them happy than there are from Pits. You guys out on a crusade against Pits should put your energy else where. Though I am in favor of making people actually pass tests before they're allowed to own potentially dangerous dogs.

What does me being an admin have to do with you not backing up your claims? Did I in any way threaten to ban or neg you for disagreeing with me? I'm not on a "high horse" in any way. I simply asked if you could back up your claim with data, which you've continued to side-step. Any other excuses?~BBCOM Chadmin~

What's your email address serious? Can you PM it to me, there is a mod who absolutely hates me who has banned me last 3 times in a row for absolutely ridiculous reasons, and I wasn't able to contact any admin about it. Any chance you could e-mail me yours in a private message, in case it happens again?
Thanks.
