I always see small talk as a waste of time. If I have to talk to someone, there is a reason and I prefer to get straight to the point rather than waste my time talking about stuff that doesn't really matter and that nobody really cares about just to make an extrovert feel better.

They always manage to find a way to monopolize all of your time. You have to meet them for breakfast, they drag out the work day, then you get stuck having to go to dinner with them and it never is a quick dinner. You are lucky if you get an hour to yourself and that isn't enough time to recharge when that hour includes having to get cleaned up and ready for work. Plus they have absolutely no interest in meeting you half way by letting you have at least one night during the trip to yourself...cause that would mean they would have to do stuff all by themselves which is torturous for them.

Lmao I'm the definition of an introvert. I can only take seeing my friends once a week. Anymore than that takes a toll on me cus it's too much energy that I don't have. I've gone for a good month not hanging out with anyone and it was amazing. I try to suck it up and attend a social gathering every now and then even tho the dread is real.

TBH between work and a few text messages and here, I get my fill of socialization.

I despise "socialization" in the form of parties, bars, clubs, etc, hate being around that many people.

Not even necessarily people I don't like more so the environment, I can go to something like a basketball game with like 20,000 people no problem.

Only time I go to the bar is when there aren't many people there and I'm with a friend or two, or I know the bartender and shoot the **** with her.

I liked it when I was married but now that I'm divorced I'm lonely for a real connection. Don't want a lot of people around me that I have to cater to but do want a genuine connection with someone.
