Fukkin Mirin’
Just cracked old pulteney 21 2 nights ago. Was good but not for what it cost. Bought the Valkyrie and had a sample during the release, it is awesome. Crazy Japanese selection. You’ve also got some real peat monsters in there. Crazy that I’m not even a huge scotch guy but I’ve tasted almost every scotch you have... starting to get more into the peaty stuff though.
It’s so hard to get the van winkles here in Canada, just got the small batch eh Taylor though. Haven’t tried it yetTobacco prostitute

I've really been enjoying this cheap bastard. It doesn't even make sense how this stuff is only $10 for a 750 but tastes so good.
Maybe it's a little "light" and not as full bodied as others, but it's sweet, kind of banana tasting, easy to sip neat or with a couple ice cubes, and is available everydamnwhere. Don't tell Buffalo Trace, but I like it so much I would easily pay 2-3x the price just because it's so tasty.

You just sip and thats it? Or cigars/snacks/meals?
I could see if I was doing it solo with nothing else I'd want it a little chill. But watering down 40% is like.....idk bruh....I need a wee bit stronger than that! haha
I was going to buy that Pikes Creek you posted earlier, but then I found Angels Envy for 45$ for 750ml and hear it has a 96 ratting right now....have you tried it?

Yeah I just sip AA while watching movies with the wife or during the Cavs game last night.
Pike Creek is pretty good. If I were to taste it blind, I would think it was a rum with some added bourbon notes, not the other way around. We mixed some into egg nog the other night and it was real tasty. Yes I've gone through a "few" bottles of Angels Envy too 45 bucks is the average price here in Ohio. I like it a lot, but I like several in the $25-30 range considerably more to make AE an everyday sipper or 'go to' drink. It's definitely worth a try, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

if you're into sipping rum, Appleton Estates 12 is hnnnngggh af but it has a high tobacco note in it. But a great sipper, never drank it cold though so profile may change.
Thanks for that bruh, give me some of your 25-30 high recommendations!!! I think you posted the Single Barrel Evan's, I bought that and everyone in my cigar lounge who tried it went that night and bought their own bottle. Super good!

Picked up a few bottles today.
Glenlivet 12
Buffalo Trace ($20 here)
Jameson to replace my bottle that's about out.
Woodford Reserve as a Christmas gift.
One of my favorites is Laphroaig 10, and I'm taking it to a family dinner party tomorrow night to see what they think. My dad is big into bourbons, but I don't believe he's ever had a smokey Scotch.
