Based on my limited search I see that some of the jackson barbell items are rare but this much?

I would ask what # are they ? Andy Jackson made palates with different hole sizes and were labelled as such #3, #4 etc.. These i think are NOT 1" hole plates as the listing seems to indicate.
ps: I knew the original seller who sold it to the current seller. Don't remember what original seller told me about the size of holes.[M]===[6]▪ Mech6 Crew #35 ▪[M]===[6]

Perhaps there is something magic about HAMPTON BARBELL of which I am not aware.

One of my pet peeves - making a hobby of selling a single item on craigslist. This person has listed this storage rack on CL now for at least 9 months.
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/s...401115285.html
How does one rationalize trying to "sell" a relatively low priced item on CL for 9+ months and not come to the conclusion it's over priced? Taking the time to slowly and methodically walk the price down from about $75 to the current $50? How is this worth anyone's time?

Pet peeve, Really? I'd assume he's spending his free time changing the price, like you're spending yours worrying about what he does with his.
Got to know your market and be patient. Took me a year to sell my TPB, over 6 months for the Rogue DL bar. With his rack finding the right buyer is going to be the problem, not the price.SQ 475# 5/26/17 wraps

I cannot stand it either. I use an app to search CL and I hate seeing the same crap over and over again.
This person keeps posting an ad for a pair of 3 lb dumbbells for $3. That ad has been reposted for at least two years. I am tempted to buy them and throw them in the first dumpster I come to just to not see the ad again.

Yep, except that my app has limited space to exclude items. I frequently run up against that limit as I exclude lots of things that I do not want to see, such as resellers, flippers, unrelated items, etc. Unfortunately, there are several bozo trying to sell junk and keep reposting ads. The only way around that is to narrow down my search and have more searches, which results in repeating results across my searches.
I currently have 12 searches set up for workout equipment (plus 6 for other items). Each search is for a specific type of equipment and specific locations up to 300 miles away. I am willing to drive further for some equipment than others. No sense in looking at ads when I am not willing to drive to pick up.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

Perhaps you are right here. How does one market to and ultimately sell to the buyer that wants just the right amount of rust and the very odd weight horn placement? With that associated work, you get the big pay off of $50.
I think it makes sense to take time for high dollar items. Spending that much time for a $50 item makes no sense. Lower the price so that it's no longer taking up space of the gym. If it doesn't sell - it isn't worth anything. give it away.

It's funny how some people get so uptight and petty on Craigslist. I've had one item flagged/removed from there in the several years I've used it on and off. I went to the help forum. It's a cesspool. People will mention they flag items if they think your description is too short, too long, too detailed, sounds like a professional advertisement instead of some moron selling some useless product, think you live too far from them even if it's the most local city to you on CL, etc. etc. Also, if you dare post items or attributes of an item in a "list" format (you know, easier to read than a wall of text), CL's automatic programming somehow lowers the flag count needed to remove the ad.

3000 USD for this stuff, is he even serious or do I need to flag him?
