Yeah I get it but it's not about the industry with vegans, it's on principle. You've cut out the inhumane industry but a vegan still won't eat those eggs. You have a rational stance based upon ethics, you have worked out how to eat eggs without supporting animals cruelty. Fine. Vegans won't eat eggs because they're vegan, which is retarded.

Here's another example, there is no ethical reason not to eat mussels and oysters, since their level of sentience is not really distinguishable from a tree. But that's a no go for people who won't eat meat or seafood.

I buy free range organic eggs, and if I could afford it I would buy free range organic meat to eat.

the whole "free range organic" industry is a little iffy imo Im sure the producers stick to the absolute bare minimum just to be able to slap those labels on their products and the standards to be considered free range organic are already pretty low to begin with

I was a meat-eater for years who agreed with vegans like Vegan Gains. You cannot argue with his logic and knowledge. Meat-eaters are living in the past. The ONLY reason they still eat it is because of 1. Taste, 2. Convenience, and 3. Habit. And for people to have home-grown hens to lay eggs there needs to be a demand to reproduce hens. But what about the male chicks? They're usually gassed or thrown into a grinder alive. None of this is ethical which is why I don't eat eggs.

I'm still undecided on oysters and things like mussels. They're closer to plant non-sentience than anything so I don't (until further knowledge) think it's a problem to eat them. But I've not heard enough on that to make a decision either way yet
