If someone loses a close friend or family member and is heartbroken, still doesnt mean depression, you really have to differentiate here. Depression also doesnt always have to have a logical reason for its cause.
Thats why there is also medication for it. You dont give someone antidepression pills because he has some rough weeks. Nobody would say that everyone has schizophrenia from time to time.

There is about a 0.1% chance she gets the max, this is the same country who's public schools have a new female ****phile getting arrested every week and most just get probation or the bare minimum amount of prison time. There is no way she gets 20 years unless they really want to make an example out of her.

I personally believe she deserves the max for a couple reasons. The texts clearly show this dude wasnt wanting to go through with it, and she continually pushed him to follow through instead of "backing out like last time". She specifically told him to delete their text convo which implies she knew her own guilt in the matter. She lied to police when they questioned her about when the last time she had spoken to him ad claimed it was the night before and he had hung up on her. She told him to get bakck in the truckShe did it because she wanted attention. She then used that attention to hold a fundraiser at her high school and pocketed the cash. She manipulated him for her own benefit even though she knew it would be at the expense of another persons life.

Let's be honest here. Most of us would happily plow her despite all of this. It's just how we're programmed. Life isn't fair and never will be. I don't think we will ever have a society where women will have to think about the repercussions of something before doing it simply because there will always be some man ready to right her wrongs. They live like queens. At any moment, no matter what a woman does, she will have 100s of guys willing to fuk her, care for her, and save her. That's just how this all works.

Which is why you hope the court systems can do a little more than just give women slaps on the wrists and lighter sentences because if anything that just further encourages this kind of behaviour. Not to say men don't commit crimes (they do it more) but a lot of them do it because they are at a point where they do not really give a fuk about the repercussions or the pros outweigh the cons for them.
