I don't get much acute effect out of weaker forms of choline like bitartrate, but CDP and Alpha GPC very clearly provide acute effect. Anyone who has taken either form at a proper dose should be able to attest to this. You certainly "feel" it.

Last time I was at HQ and talking with Steve and Alex, they were working on something more for the average gymgoer. Not us forum nuts.

If you look at the market, most pre- snobs like us would never touch anything that's the best seller in many of the categories here on bb.com. If you look at the pre- category it's old skoo C4. Nothing wrong with it or Cellucor, but it surely doesn't have the profile or caffeine that blows most of us here on the forums away. Although, I do like the creatine nitrate in C4.

That said, Block Buster, from the inception of idea has been about bringing in, as Damon said, "The Costco crowd." C4 is on the shelves at Costco, but I'm not 100% sure our micro-batch production methodology could keep to Costco level demand. At some point, all supp companies that focus on a more "hardcore" segment of the population, in order to expand, bring out more mainstream products.

Block Buster's use of AAKG versus cit is pretty smart in this guy's opinion. Really, the general market has very little clue, but "Arginine" is known. I too am okay with AAKG, but would prefer cit myself. In general, this pre isn't for me. I've never made it a secret that I think BA in a pre is pointless, but it's marketable and people still continue to believe that the "tingles" mean it's working. Supp companies do it to give the people what they want, an acute feeling.

Most of us see through that because we know better. Things I do like about Block Buster? Hydromax and taurine (will be nice when it gets hot), theanine...all good stuff.

I think the thing we need to remember, at least I keep reminding myself of this, is that many of these products aren't made for us/me. I like Game Day, but I like it better with Pump Powder. I like White Flood, but I like it better with Hemavol. Same with MaxOut, like it with Hemavol. I may even throw in some potassium nitrate and a scoop of ALCAR.

Why? That's what I like and I like more pumps and focus from my pre.

I digress. The point? Block Buster is a solid "entry-level" product for the average gymgoer. Why not compete with C4? It's smart business. As marketing develops a brand, you want to lock up as much of the market in your products as possible.

It's why CL brought out protein powder and MAN did it too. You're "already fans" will buy it from you even with the slim margins and non-fans will be more apt to pick up a protein powder and get introed to your brand. You have to have other products to fit the bill of the average user too to keep the train rolling. It think MAN is doing it right though, nothing sneaky, nothing hidden, just bringing out a product to the broader market.

Kind of where i am confused, you touched on some of it. I get the whole smart business moves and putting out a mainstream pre to compete with that of C4. However, too really compete in that category you need to make more than the 250 tub micro batch that I saw advertised on Instagram. Just at costco alone you need to move $500 a week per store to stay on the shelves. When you start getting into those Walmarts and Targets its great for business, but not sure if the hardcore approach of MAN fits that business model. I am a long time fan of the products so not bashing.

No i get it, and if the price point is low this will sell nicely as a starter pre. I don't have anything against AAKG, too many people are quick to say arginine forms don't work because its easy to just quote everyone else spewing that out on here, IMO they don't work as well as Citrulline, but they work in higher quantities, the issue I guess just down to stomach distress from the amount you'd need to match that of citrulline. A few years ago i was sent an inner armor pre that had AAKG at the same dosage, I think the price point was around $24 for 30 servings and the pumps were surprisingly good.

Take a look at some of the studies above. Interesting to say the least. Personally, I'm not moving away from citrulline to improve plasma arginine levels until I see strong science showing me reason to do so, but as you alluded, "pumps" are subjective in nature and also some people don't like super strong pumps.

Not quite. NooPump was a Pump AND Nootropic formula.

According to what we've been told, yes. The beta batch went well to my understanding. I went through 2 tubs of it. Taste good. It's creatine, so no additional magic, but it was nice to have something to flavor my water through the day. And I sort of enjoyed my pre-workout dose. I'm sure it was placebo, but I felt great.

unfortunately the tendency of clout to become a rock solid brick quickly makes it obsolete.
I kept my clout tub. The powder is so rock solid that the scoop is literally glued in there and won't get out. Like If i stab it with a knife, the knife will bend.



I basically have used the clout tub for the past two years as a foam roller. Best recovery supp I ever used.
