I've seen a lot of posts on this board of people self diagnosing themselves. You're not a doctor, you didn't study night and day for years at med school. Your local GP is far more qualified to make a diagnosis than you are. Most of the time people are completely wrong. I've had people try and convince me their tinea is cancer.

If you self diagnose instead of seeing a doctor you might actually be retarded

Actual Depression still requires medical treatment from a trained professional.
Everyone claims to have depression when in reality most of them are just having a bad few weeks and what they're feeling are normal human emotions.
Real clinical depression is far more complex and serious and requires medical intervention

Not sure if srs
Brb doc prescribes anti-depressants
Brb anti-depressants are drugs
Brb only not depressed if your on drugs
Brb a lot of anti-dpressants have suicidal thiughts as side effects
Brb would be better off taking real drugs instead
Brb already know why i'm depressed and no one else can do anything about it
Brb just have wait it out for a few more years

A doctor has far more knowledge but I know my body better. For example, I went to 3 doctors because I was having horrible asthma symptoms. It wasn't until I specifically asked the 4th doctor to prescribe me prednisone before I was back to normal.
Thanks google and WebMD!!
Also, if all doctors were as retarded as the one we have posting in the R/P section, I would never go to one.

You know absolutely nothing nothing about SSRIs and you're proving my point even further by thinking there is only way to treat and manage depression.
Nothing infuriates me more than what the general public thinks of SSRIs. Do you honestly think they'd keep being prescribed and people keep willingly taking them if they did nothing and led to suicidal thoughts? They're the most prescribed drugs on the planet for a reason. They are safe and they work

Most doctors I've been to are absolutely potatoes that are on there high horse. You can't even ask them how they came to the conclusion that you're diagnosed with X. I've done a better job when sick just googling the symptoms and treating it my self.
Brb infection in my nail
Doctor: AYYY we need to operate and pull the nail out boyo
Me: Pass, just give me antibiotics for it
Doctor: Ayy, don't test me bro. Antibiotics wont work
Me: We'll see boyo

Would honestly love to see the look on a gastros face if you walked in and said "hey google told me I have Ulcerative ****tis because I got some abdominalpains can you give me some immunosuppressants and prednisone."
Morons like you are why certain countries have rules about needing a doctor referral before seeing a specialist. So you don't waste their time or take up spots for people that actually need treatment from one

Antibiotics are over used and hence why he probably didn't want you take them and would of preferred just to pull the thing out. You shouldn't take antibiotics unless you absolutely have too
What is with people on this forum arguing by using extremes. Holy **** that's your best argument? Of course I'm not talking about a common ****ing cold you wanker

How about you attain health issues (assuming or not assuming you do), and then go to a doctor, and tell me everything they say and do is accurate, and they don't often be on some bullchit.
There are good doctors and their are chit ones. And it becomes more clear, the more you educate yourself about health issues.

It triggers me to no end when people deify doctors or scientists.
They are humans with limitations just like anyone else *******. Most of them aren't even that capable or effective. Nor care or take their profession that seriously. its just a role people play for income and identity. Anyone can be that role if they go through the programs. Some are worse some are better.
Everything they learn is public knowledge on Google.

Don't be a troll.
The best thing to do is research the symptoms and read forums where people had the same symptoms. From there you then go to the Doctor telling them your symptoms. They'll give suggestions on what can be done and you can choose from those options or you can provide what you read from different forums. You can't expect a doctor to solve everything, sure they can, but it can take longer. It's better to read your body, get advice from people with the same symptoms and then work with the doctor to get to the bottom of the problem. It's much faster and efficient instead of acting like a dumbass and taking some random pills
