First of all, you have to identify what type of fitness goals you are looking for.
Example: To lose weight, to have better stamina.

Once you know what you looking to achieve, then you will know what type of workouts are more suited for your goals, and what is the optimal frequency of workouts each week for you to achieve that goal.

For your case, I would assume that you seek to lose some weight and be able to sustain a healthy lifestyle.

I have attached a few helpful articles that may help you to start on your fitness journey:

For sample Exercises to reach general fitness, please read:

Effective exercises to lose weight (that can even be done at home!)

Once you have determined what are the actual fitness goals you want to achieve, please read:

    How often should you workout

Hopefully with this simple guide, you are able to reach your desired fitness level soon!

the above post is half nonsense, exercises do not burn fat. they burn calories, but if you are not in an overall deficit this will not result in weight loss.

"Exercise frequency depends on your BMI" More nonsense that avoids the fact nutrition is what's important in gaining or losing weight.

^^ to OP it does matter what your goals are though, strength? speed? sport?
