Gotta give my man, Dave, a shout out. He's the "smallest" guy in the pic, but the dude is a giant irl. Full blooded Japanese, but as American as, well, most of us here. He fought liver cancer for nearly 3 years, doing chemo for over two. Several surgeries having tumors removed..... Being his closest friend, you can imagine the conversations we shared during that period. It was rough...and I mean really rough. He asked me to be the executor of his will....if that gives you an idea of what I'm saying. Long story short, he beat it and competed in BBing (his 3rd time) and won his class just one year after this. He is one of the closest friends I've ever had. They don't get any better than Dave/Satoshi.

Thanks Matt. I would have to ask him for the pics. He actually is a member here, but hasn't posted for many, many years. The dude actually looks like Bolo when he's not cut. He came to workout with me one day (my home gym) shortly after getting clear from "all that", and the fckr blows up like you've never seen muscle memory! Genetics! I've never kept it a secret here that I'm not the kinda guy that would ever pose on a stage (I hope this is taken in proper context....it's just not me), but I attended a couple of the shows/comps he was involved in, just to support him. Despite leading a fairly "epic" life, I'm really a very "reserved" person. When I was into running and you were there as well, I had great respect for that. You were killing it in lifting AND running.

OS is without question, the strongest of the 3 of us. BH is more into BBing....and I never was. Strength training, but I liked the side results. OS is more like me in this respect, and I know he's one strong mo-fo Pollack. Did I mention that he could slam a few drinks?

Been there once (M/St. Paul). My favorite great aunt lived there (and I had five!)...and she was a nun. Can't make this up.....went to see her at her convent. She passed away back in the late 80's. The woman joined the convent when she was 15....and she was always my favorite great aunt.
