Even if he could pull 500kg, he would be dumb to do it unless someone else is super close as well. He gets all kinds of hype every time he breaks the record. Why push it up 35kg in one shot? Where's he going to go from there?

Just a deadlift bar with eleiko plates if its the same as the last few years. I think that is a better setup for these guys than that goofy "elephant bar" they used at the arnold. looked like the whip on that hurt people more than it helped.

holy fuk....he put 35kg ontop of the record thats ridiculously rare and not per se because of the physical implausibility but because athletes with sponors get to make tons of money by just slowly bumping the record up and hyping it up everytime so im kinda suprised at eddies choice of things....lol at shaw doubting him on his yt channel fukin lol. what a madman

man i hope they made a documentary style documentation of his preperation for this....cant even comprehend the pressure of putting together that kindve lift

Some of his pulls haven't been suited so that's definitely part of the reason why he's added 35kg.

Still, pretty crazy. I'm completely stunned. I thought it was just fake hype to promote the event.

He broke it so much because he's pulling out all the stops this year/next.

He's young but he's abusing his body more than others. He's said multiple times he can't continue doing this and that he wants to win WSM and hit massive lifts before he stops.

Probably not too tough to think how hard he's pushing his body to get such lifts.

ya so much for 198, with Norris deadlift and Derstine's inability to hold on to something heavy, it just wasn't happen, not sure it will, maybe, guess we will have to see.

The last time someone broke a world record by that much in the strength game was probably when Ed Coan totalled 2463 at 220. I think it was higher than any other total done at any bodyweight at the time. Can't imagine that happening ever again for a 220 lifter nowadays.
