The struggle is real right now with finances in my house. My wife still hasn't found a job and we are cutting things left and right. It's very difficult just to put groceries in the house. However, a buddy of mine let me have some of his remaining protein. I was excited, but found that it expired back in February of this year. Is it still good or do I need to just chunk it?

It doesn't necessarily "expire"
I kind of is no longer guaranteed to have the advertised amount of protein pre scoop. Basically the protein content degrades over time.
As long as he didn't get any moisture in there, no mold, weird smells and doesn't upset your stomach when you drink it, you're fine.

I have done that and entered a few promos. I'm trying to focus on the food right now, but even that is a struggle. We're in a bad situation right now. Money for groceries is a problem now. I've never been in a situation like this before. I'm trying to get us out of this. I'm now working 2 jobs and trying to get even more hours. I'm not sure how you feel about prayer, but I need it.

That's what I like to hear! Ha ha! I just want to do everything I can to feed the muscle and continue pursuing my goals during this difficult time, but keep my family's needs first. Thank you for the feedback brother! BTW, I sent you a message. When you get an opportunity, take a look and let me know what you think.

Use your senses: smell, sight and finally taste. More than likely it is fine. Think about it. It's not like protein knows that at the stroke of midnight to go to shiit lol. What about time zones does the stuff go bad sooner on one coast vs the other? This is a general statement but people put way to much stock in best by/expiration dates. I have been in the gocercy business for 17 years and have eating so much "expired food" it's not funny. Every once in while you can tell it is rancid but 9 out of 10 times not issue what so ever.
If anything have your buddy who has tasted it try one serving and let you know if it tastes the same.Approach life one productive day at a time and no goal is unattainable.
