Been shooting a couple times, 9MM feels good to shoot but my buddys g26(i think?) which is what he conceals was just TOO SMALL for my hand even with that little clip extension. Almost bought a S&W Compact mini 1911 for like $800-900 but then I got laughed out of the gun thread for wanting a .45.

But fuarkkk it just sits so nice in my hand. Not to mention sexy AF. Pic for reference:

Have this debate with a spec ops guy. I thought like you did until I went out with some of my buddies and they started talking about it. None of them carry a 9mm overseas.

Navy Seals use the P226 and are integrating in the Glock 19 over the next couple of years.

It won't, unless its really old.
Besides, put the safety on, lay it on the ground, done.
Decocking your gun has as much of a chance of discharging as dropping.

I know a couple SEALs. They are technically "issued" the P226, but literally NONE of them actually carry it. They all prefer larger caliber sidearms because the 9mm P226 isn't enough stopping power. Those guys know what they're talking about.
