sometimes i wont be able to play as much as i would like. Especially since i ll be starting a new job in a couple weeks. will play when i have time to de-stress.
i have my old monitor which i ll keep off to the side for more screen realestate, wont use it for gaming though.
my old montior is 24inch 1920 x 1200 mva panel 60hz. it will be nice to have up for more screen room.
you were smart to get big drives for the air case. i think that was the case with limited hard drive cages. Other then that though that build looks 100% clean. great job. what r ur specs? fav games?
heard alot of qc has gone to **** these days. asus and gigabyte mb reviews are ramped up with people saying this. I still know that i got an old nforce 4 asus motherboard (must be over 10 years old now) still running fine at my mothers house. Wonder if these new asus boards will last as long.IF YOU DONT SQUAT, YOU AINT SQUAT

Always enjoy these threads.
I had two pretty nice rigs 4-5 years ago. I miss them quite a bit but am planning a build here n the next two months or so. Have some money saved up. Need to catch up a lot on all the new technology. When I built the previous ones Sandybridges had just come out so it's been a while.
Congrats on the new rig.Heaviest: 350lbs, 45% BF

Going to give my opinion.
Make of it what you want ;-)
I think you are over doing it on the CPU and Monitor.
You can have a monitor closer to you, it's the same ****ing thing as having a gigantic screen...and 144hz only...
I would go down to a 300$ CPU and a 300-400$ monitor and put the savings into a monster GPU - this way, you would optimize the use of your HZ on your monitor...you will never reach 165 FPS on that monitor and if you do, it's way too much. IMO
Other than this, it's a beats of a PC, congrats mate.

I want to run dual monitors and thinking of getting this one. Do you think the GTX970 could handle it?
