Is it pretty much a coin toss for the press bars from BW and Edge? I see Edge has their slim football bar for $195 with free shipping. I don't know what BWTG will come in at, but if they are the same, which one to go with?

If the price were the exact same it would come down to the specs for me (quality will be comparable). I'm not sure what the size is on the BWTG bar but it states 1.5" smaller than their regular bar which is 10" maybe? Edge's slim bars are 7" as opposed to their regular 10" bars, which gives you a little more range of motion and clearance for pressing/pulling movements. The only other difference that I know of is the end caps on the Edge bars are welded, where BWTG are plastic end caps. I suspect you will be happy with either, just personal preference.

well since my thread on the SS yoke bar got lock might as well post here, due to enough complaining maybe, or just my negotiation skills, I am working out a compromise with EliteFTS with me picking up the bar since I am 40 minutes away from them.

yeah in my experience, as poor a move as it is to call and ask for cash, i've always been as polite as possible when dealing with this. the girl wasn't like "no i'm not going to cancel his order, i'm gonna call and ask for cash!" she's just doing her job.

You're a good man and loyal customer to even give them any of your business. But for guys that want this bar that bad, that's good that they may have a choice if they can drive there.

My guess is the York exclusive partnership ended and Rogue probably worked something out with Mr's B & R to also be a manufacturer. The York version is still for sale on Rogue. So maybe their will be 2 versions.

I've been wondering about that bench. Great price and looks solid but I but haven't seen any reviews on it.

I was on the fence before as well. However, I saw all the reviews on amazon - verified purchase, etc. - from people who talk like they lift. I lol'ed at this one ... "I honestly feel like i robbed the manufacturer of this bench. It is heavy duty gym quality at half the cost. Very few benches decline & go almost 90°." I will hopefully be doing some further robbing later this week.

Also note that the new B&R bar is a hot deal item. You have to get to this page through the "hot deals" link. If you go through the barbell search and search under Men's 20KG bars, the "New" B&R 2.0 is not there yet.

Interesting how the new B&R has snap ring design with 205k tensile and moved from Canada (I'm assuming old one was MFG'd in Canada if not in USA) , I'd still buy the old one for the better looking end cap.
