Every legend burns out sooner or later and they become a shadow of what they once were. Very few retire while being in their prime or close to it (Lee Haney, Shawn Ray are a few examples). How would you place the following contest assuming there are no politics involved? We're all going to use their last Mr.O appearance as reference.
competitor 1- 1997 Dorian Yates
competitor 2- 2002 Nasser El Sonbaty
competitor 3- 2003 Kevin Levrone
competitor 4- 2007 Ronnie Coleman
competitor 5- 2013 Jay Cutler
competitor 6- 2002 Flex Wheeler
All these men at 1 point or another were top 2 in the world. How would you objectively place them? Most people are going to automatically think 1997 Dorian should win because he retired as a Mr.O. However, assuming he was a nobody from a middle eastern/ eastern european country, would he have still won the 1997 Mr.O?

Can you post some pics from those years? I know how Dorian, Ronnie and Jay looked but the others not so much.

1. Levrone (he was much smaller than usual, but his physique was still appealing)
2. Ronnie
3. Jay
4. Dorian
5. Flex
6. Nasser

dorian would wipe the floor. he's not as pretty as his prime obviously but he would dominate all mandatories except fdb. Jay and ronnie were shells of their former selves.
ronnie's back is gone. Jay only possessed one of two of each body part. Much worse damage than dorian's arms and bulky waist imo.

Dorian by a mile. Guy had bad proportions but his conditioning and back were better than everyone in the competition. Levrone got 4th keep in mind.
2.
Jay Cutler, still had the width and conditioning to beat a lot of competitors
3.
Kevin Levrone. Lacked legs and smaller than previous years but still a decent showing.
4.
Ronnie. Could have been 3rd, still has great arms and legs.
5.
Flex Wheeler by default.
6.
Nasser (RIP). Fkin LOL that year.

Awesome topic. Doesn't get discussed much.
Dorian would probably take first for me. Back still looked great, and even though his arms look photoshopped in a bad way, he still had an olympia worthy Physique.
Flex Wheeler would probably take second. Though his arms were full blown synthol, he still had a somewhat appealing physique. Obvs nowhere close to prime flex, but still controlled his waist.
Levrone at 3rd. Still looked "good" but waist was thickening up, and just didn't flow that well.
Jay at 4th. I hate that this was his last olmypia. Back looked horrible, arms were smaller. Was decent for conditioning. Shouldn't have been top 10 that year.
Ronnie at 5th. Just bad.
