I gravitate mostly towards medium sized girls (5'5-5'8). The short girls tend to be more weird/ insecure in my experience compared to 'medium' sized women. Although girls seem to be getting taller and taller nowadays, there still isn't THAT many in the pond to just pick from that are in my preference which is nice and thick.

Love me a THICK tall girl, the taller they are the more likely they tend to be on the slim side. But that occasional thick 5'9-5'11 chick I see in real life always makes me HNNNNNG.

I think tall girls usually have poor proportions (legs too long, no curves, thin all around) but even if they had nice proprotions men dont like to be with tall women because they feel inferior.
a man is the "alpha" in the relationship. supposed to protect the woman, etc. and height is percieved as a sign of power. its a "masculine" trait to have, and men dont want to have their masculinity challenged or even questioned. i think gender roles have a stronger impact on our lives than we think. i think males prefer to be with a shorter girl but not too short to feel wanted, masculine, and alpha. meanwhile a woman wants a taller man because she wants to feel protected, safe, and admired (by her social peers).

relating to the gender roles thing, society/media has a huge impact on this i think. you barely see movies where the main love interest is with a shorter guy and a taller girl. thats why its ingrained into our minds that the ideal relationship to have is that of "tall guy" with "shorter girl". you'll also rarely see male models under 5'10. ur social peers will also tease you if it doesnt match the "ideal" relationship either. like girls having to kiss down, etc.
