yea its difficult when travailing I used to be traveling for six months of the year, taking clients out and trying to eat healthy and track calories two forces pulling you in different directions.
Most chain restaurants now have nutritional information on here web sites and the Menu so this makes it a bit easier.
Stay away from most salad dressing though.Still striving to meet my goals even though someone keeps moving the goalposts

My weigh-in is 232.8 pounds, I moved up from yesterday, but I'm not sure how, since I ate healthy. I went shopping yesterday and bought all healthy foods, I bought a three pound sack of walnuts from Costco for $18, and a big basket of strawberries and a two and a half pound sack of fresh spinach.

You might still be low. We are around the same height and within 10 lbs of each other. If that is you in your avatar then you are considerably leaner than I am which means you should be able to get away with a higher intake and still see results. My advice would be that you start around 2,000 cals for the first 2 - 3 weeks and see how your body responds. You can adjust lower if you need to but starting really low gives you nowhere to go if/when you hit a plateau.

Well, after a low that lasted a few days (Depression triggered by an event at work this last Wednesday) which involved me self medicating with a tub of frozen yogurt I am back on track and ready to reach my goal.
The scale this morning read 205.6 lbs which is up a little from last week for obvious reasons. I am also back on Day shift which makes a huge difference in my mood and ability to stay focused."Success requires no apologies, failure permits no alibis"

Sign me up!
29 y M 267lbs
Started weightloss September last year at 350 so the end of this challenge would put me just past my 1 year weight-loss anniversary
End Goal Weight: No idea, will only know when I get there.. Im guessing ballpark 170-190range. Hoping to be at that goal sometime in Q1 or Q2 2016
Goal weight by end of this challenge: Really aiming for <=246. This puts me over 100lbs lost in a year at an average of 2lbs per week
Plan: Continue doing what I am currently doing. eating at 1000+ calorie deficit on average (~1800 cal currently), weightlift 2x per week, jogging 3x per week. Right now I am on week 9 of c25k program running 4k in 30minutes non stop. This will probably end up being a 12 week program for me as I will add 333meters (~.2miles) per week until I get to 5k. Then I will evaluate if I want to work on increasing speed, increase distance, or transition to jog outdoors instead of a treadmill.
Good luck to everyone!

Hello everyone, I am 43 Yr old Female. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I came across this thread when looking for info / reviews on supplements. Some info on me:
I have Fibromyalgia which I used as an excuse to get out of shape. I am also a smoker and a heavy drinker - ok an alcoholic. Today will be my day to start the rest of my life. My goal is to lose 20 lbs, get in shape, become healthy, happy and sober. Any advice on supplements would be great, tomorrow I will start a deep cleanse and also take supplements to help my liver. I look fwd to being part of this group. Thank you in advance for your support and encouragement.

Royalmike, you should provide your e-mail address in your sig in case you receive too many PM's, Bodybuilding.com only allows us to have a certain amount, and if you hit your limit on a Tuesday, some people might not be able to PM you their weight for that week. That way they could e-mail you their weight instead, if they have to.

First night on it and I went significantly over my TDEE. Oops. Not going to beat myself up about it now - what's done is done eh - just going to make sure I correct the mentality that got me there in the first place. Onwards and upwards! (actually downwards would be nicer)

Pre-pack food and snacks. I usually cook for the week and freeze or refrigerate. I don't go anywhere without something to eat in my purse or pocket (usually nuts). For eating out, use a calorie counter. Most people have MyFitnessPal but I use FatSecret. I also tend to put my meanls in the cal counter ahead of time so I don't have to make any food decisions. If its all planned out its easier to stick to. Make eating healthy convenient.
