I think bench is a crap load of mental bags of dick for me and Ryan too. Me personally, I still haven't benched over 320, yet I'm stronger pressing (reps/sets and ass. movements) than I've ever been. I'd be lucky to hit 315 right now.

Not to psychologize, but at least prior to school letting out you've had other priorities that just had to take precedence over making weight and getting reps in. Which is just a pragmatic reality for anyone who doesn't, you know, lift and train for a living. So I wouldn't call that "wheel spinning" per se.
Otherwise, don't get so down! Someone Eric coaches made a post a bit ago (or maybe it was Eric idunnolol; or neither) about how we always undercut our performances, both positive in terms of PRs and just plain bad days. Oh I was tired... my knee felt funny... I have a crick in my neck... my eating was crappy... I haven't slept in 3 days... had to walk up some stairs 2 days ago.... etc. (you see where I'm going, lol) and how he's making an effort to avoid overqualifying with a list of reasons why he didn't perform to expectations. Granted, this is a training log versus ig; where those sorts of personal, anecdotal material should go!
But since you brought up the mental component, there might be something to that. There's never going to be a session - or maybe I'll qualify that by adding rarely - that everything in life locks up, your energy is great, your limbs feel fine, your mentality is strong, your favorite rack is open, every rep feels light, and you walk away from the gym feeling like superman.
Having a more measured evaluation of what counts as a good session is fine too. My "great" sessions of late... well, before I got mono... were the sessions that I point blank got all of my reps; whether they were fast or slow, whether 225 felt like 225 or 185 or 250, not a huge concern. That's what reporting RPE is for and that's what I let my coach worry about .
Which is all a lot of rambling to say, bad days are normal and the majority of training is not going to feel exuberant. The mental part is about absorbing and even relishing some of those tougher moments, because that's what allows the actually great sessions to happen. Many might disagree, but imo trudging through a few weeks or even a whole cycle because you've got bigger fish to fry is not the end of the world; we can't devote 100% attention to everything.

Lauren i agree with what youre saying
So here is my past 2 days. About 3 saturday we get a text that there is a baby boy we can adopt and be ready. We run out to the store and buy all kinds of stuff. We get home about 7 to hear they cant reach anyone and it looks like it fell through. We get up Sunday with no change. I went to the gym and got a text in the middle of deadlifting that i need to come home now. We drov over and are now in the hospital with himPL Log

We actually got a call sat saying it was going down so we rushed to the store and bought stuff only to be told sat night that they couldnt reach amyone and it might have fell through. I was at the gym smashing my anger away when she texted me. Weve been trying to adopt for almost 2 years

Strong work.
You could always just start the program over no?
But if you're craving some heavier weight, I'm sure something like 531 with some jokers would act as a nice change of pace after all the volume.the latest and greatest in training...or whatever.
