Seriously I do - either repairing old ones, or making my own.
This is my most recent - made it out of an old tripod (either a photog's or landscaper's, not sure) I picked up at an antique store.
My next project is like this, but mine is chrome not brass. Also it's in really rough shape, the chrome and glass needed a really good cleaning and there was paint splatter all over it. The delay is that I am trying to strip all the wire cages to repaint them, but it's tough using a wire wheel because I can't put to much pressure on it.
I almost feel bad on this one. I bought some furniture from a mid-century modern resale shop and saw the fixture in the bathroom (which she also uses as storage) and asked for it. She originally offered $50 because she hadn't cleaned it or researched it yet. Then said I could have it because I spent a decent amount with her that day. Well it took me less than ten minutes in the car on my phone to find it. Some places are asking around $5,000
also the wiring is gonna be a bit tough - there are 19 sockets, and getting them all wired inside the center ball is going to be a PITA. In fact I took it to a lamp repair shop run by an old guy I know to ask him how to get it apart. As I was walking in with it, he said "nope, I'm not doing it. They're too hard and I'd have to charge you an arm and a leg."

Home repair. I love learning how to do this stuff, working on my house and then sadly realizing I'm not very good at it. Fun though Other than that, whatever the kids are into. I became quite good at super mario again over this winter.

If you want to become a jack of all trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, carpentry, fiberglass/epoxy, rigging, sewing, and paint finishing) buy yourself a sailboat to restore. Then when you're ready to go sailing you can learn boat handling, seamanship, navigation, and advanced first aid. You'll never want for another hobby.

I was a carpenter for several years in Groveland, Ca. (40 miles W. of Yosemite main gate) so I'm pretty handy in that respect.
Still have all my tools from those days and since have updated to the DeWalt cordless stuff.
I used to do small jobs by the hour but I have no interest in doing any of that grunt work anymore.
Besides, we live in a duplex now anyway and I get to defer all that to the landlord (X Air Force Korean War era) whom I've known for some time.
If one is a homeowner carpentry skills are something I'd recommend getting familiar with.

I like to shoot my bow and hunt with it. Backpacking, fishing, camping, shooting, canoeing, anything outdoors related is fun for me really. Try to do a lot at my church too whether it's going to study groups, helping out with some of the programs, stuff like that. Reading is a big past time of Mrs. Grouchy and I as well. That's about it - nothing too exciting.

Writing--mainly YA Action with a bit of romance--and recently began studying astronomy again, something I did when I was a kid, but haven't done much of lately.
"Don't call me Miss Kitty. Just...don't."--Catnip. Check out the Catnip Trilogy on Amazon.com

I play the piano. At one time, a long time ago, I wanted to be a 'serious' musician Ha! Now I just play for fun...and frustration. I've not been to Mexico in several years. It's not the most inviting place at the moment, unfortunately. For many years while traveling and living there I collected Mexican artesania. Hand made crucifixes of all sizes, devil masks, architectural prints of colonial buildings/cathedrals, and paintings. My walls are covered with the art that I've collected. Reminds me of a place that I dearly love.

I think I may be OCD, but here goes. Mountain biking, hunting, muscle cars, woodworking, motorcycles, audio, espresso/coffee, cooking/grilling/smoking/pizza, and general home repair/construction/remodeling.
I did a resto-mod on my 1970 Chevelle over about 8 years, and have now owned it for 21. Have a woodshop and make furniture. Over the past few years I've remodeled my kitchen which included refinishing cabinets, installing the tile floor and all the electric & plumbing, made craftsman style panels from quarter-sawn oak in my dining room, finished my basement along with a theater room. Have a Harley Road King that my wife and putz around on when the weather is nice. I've been developing my own pizza dough's for about 5 years, and built a wood fired pizza oven, along with a fireplace. I grill and smoke on my Big Green Egg. And, my wife and I have been mountain biking since the early '90's. Not a lot of down time.
