hi guys, am a lurker here on misc for a while now. anyway im always paranoid about losing my hair(dad is bald, probably norwood 3.5). a month ago was starting to notice my left temple slightly receded(still norwood 1 though, just them temples receding a bit). was paranoid as ****. started to research about fin and ****. finally got proscar and started popping it 0.5-0.7 ED. its been a month already and i can already see the gains. no idea how the **** its so fast. regrowth on my left temple. am quite satisfied though.

okay about the sides, libido got a sharp hit but only for the first 3-4 days. Since then i always have raging boners and maybe even more horny than i was previously(no joke). Another side is watery semen and it has thicken up a bit already.

Will continue to monitor and post about my progress here. cheers.

RU compound is a pita to measure, mix, and use. Also, apparently it's starting to get harder to find a high purity compound to synthesize.

dutasteride is good, since it inhibits both 5alpha-reductase enzymes, whereas fin only inhibits one. There are several dudes on various other forums who even regrew their temples with dut. However, the side effects are pretty extreme, so be careful on it. In addition, not sure where you live, assuming the US, good luck on sneaking it in across the border.

I'd say you're at a 3.5-4 at the moment, but the island in the middle is still thick from the looks of it... Ever consider spiking the frontal region of island and pushing forward the sides? Or are the sides pushed forward already?

I think those around me are too kind not to point out my situation, but nobody but myself truly knows how bad it is. I'm the male version of a sloot with padded bras and bucket loads of makeup. Preparing my hair takes 30 min... what a life huh.

The problem is I've tried propecia a few years ago and it didn't do anything. Took it for about 11 months before giving up. Seems like I was having really bad sheds throughout the whole time I was on it.

My sister was the first to point it out, I'm actually grateful in retrospect as I started minox around then and moved to fin a few months later, I don't think I would have noticed until I was really screwed if someone didn't point it out.

Hard to do mainly cause the hair on the sides doesnt reach forward all the way. When it was I tried it, and being a book nerd, my friends were like "wtf is wrong with your hair", lol. This is how far it's receded back. ****. I need to get a transplant soon.

The vendors that have good purity are willing to let you choose a 3rd party of your choice to test it out. Those that aren't, just move onto the next list of vendors. Even if its tropical it'll still get into your blood stream and have similar effects. Either way try it out it may be a good option!

Haven't read the entire thread so forgive me if this has been talked about already but do any of you brahs get testicle pain when on fin? I was taking .5g/day and getting some pretty bad ball aches so I stopped after like a week.

No, there's no vendor on BTT. You can ask in the thread about where to get it. I was all for it when I realized how much additional stuff you needed (ie scale, test tubes, pipettes, etc etc). Got a bit too tedious. Have to store it in the right temperature so the product doesn't biodegrade. Too many variables to control for. However, the results are impressive. In addition, be smart about it. If you get a good batch of the RU compound. Try to find a chemist in your area that can reproduce it for you. It'll only be a matter of time when the pipeline for a good source of RU runs out overseas, and then you're ****ed; since most of these products needed to used daily for a long period of time to sustain the gains.

My hairline is starting to recede. I was going to start fin, rub in Rogaine, and use special shampoo, but I keep hearing that hair loss treatments make you shed a lot at first. I don't want to look bald by starting preventive measures. Anyone using Rogaine and fin who just started to lose hair, and not starting when they already had bald spots?

Need to know what to expect. If it makes all your hair fall out, I might as well wait until after it does on its own before starting. Why rush balding? But if I can prevent it, I will.

Good points, I guess I'll hold off on RU for now. What dosage of fin do you recommend? When I was on it years ago, I think I was taking 1 mg./day. Should I try dropping the dosage to .5 mg./day?

That doesn't sound right either. Make sure your doc is legit. Your hairs going to be extremely sparse with only 1000 grafts. Also keep in mind that a lot of these do not survive... so you're not even looking at a full 1,000. At this angle... I think your hair may be better than mine, I've just grown the top hairs long enough to where they fall right where the tip of your bangs do... same hairstyle as the blonde dude on wedding crashers...ultimate norwood coverup if you ever decide to go for messy hairstyle. Granted, I do look like a fkn wreck lul. Anything to hide the truth
