Not RIP Tinder just yet. In fact, this is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Finally something to weed out the cheapskates. My bump bot has just become more effective, now I'm only competing against the guys that are willing to pay. I'd pay $100 a month for unlimited likes if it was going to help eliminate the competition. Also no woman will pay, so they'll become pickier with who they like, so there'll be more chance women I match with will be willing to meet and I won't be wasting my time chatting to attention whores.

Anyway here's the news re. the change.

So far it seems like the change is CLIENT SIDE ONLY. This means if you don't upgrade, you'll be fine. If you've already upgraded on Android then uninstall and download an old APK version of it and install. Or get flamite, or bluestacks, or use a 3rd party tinder client.

So far the Tinder server responses are still coming back with '100 likes remaining' and are not being depleted no matter how much my bot auto likes. So for the brahs currently hooked up to the bot, you will see no effect, even if you upgrade, your matches will still flow in, so don't worry.

Once Tinder implements the change server side (and I'm guessing they will), it means their servers will no longer be backwards compatible with older versions of their client software, so we'll all be forced to upgrade most likely. Also while using a 3rd party tinder client will currently bypass the limit once they modify their server side routines it will prevent mass liking even on 3rd party apps.

This could happen tomorrow, or in 6 months. Who knows.

Either way I'm very happy with the news, unlimited likes is a great deal, I'll pay (and my bet is some of the other slayers here will too) and that combined with my bump bot will mean I'll be swimming in even more pussy thanks to the decreased competition. And as long as there are hot women on it, I'll continue to pay, just like I'll pay to get into a nightclub if that's where the hotties are.

A bad deal would be if you had to pay $1 per 10 likes or something... Any of you guys that are worried about a measly 7.99 a month to get access to prime pussy need to take a long hard look at your lives. Are you also the guys that are standing in a store sale queue for 3 hours waiting to fight a bunch of other losers to get 50% off a product I'd pay full price for while enjoying my time and using that 3 hours to make 4x the amount you just saved?

EDIT: Funny thing is until they implement this server side you'll still get bots and auto-likers.

It was more just the stigma of paying to use an online dating site that didn't sit well with me. But when you put it like that (the costs saved in time not having to trawl clubs etc) then the price becomes a non-issue.

Imagine how gross the girls who pay must be, do you think there will even be one, I can't imagine a girl swiping yes to over a 100 guys a day.

Also, to be fair, 100 likes in a day is quite a lot and if you find yourself liking over 100 a day then I reckon you're swiping too much in any case.

It'd be more beneficial actually if they gave you less free likes, in terms of weeding out the competition.

Exactly. But all guys will be in the same boat, so girls 'like queues' should be shorter OR they'll be heavily stacked with guys that are paying/bump botting.

The main reason it's so much more important to be front of the queue now is because women are also limited in the number of likes they can perform a day, so you want to be at the front of that queue.

No woman would pay, except maybe whales and washed up cougars.

The end result for me once they implement the limit server side should be -

Advantages:
- Less matches (which is an advantage because...)
- Chicks that you do match with will be far more willing to meet
- Less attention whores
- Less time wasted chatting to attention whores
- Less competition

Disadvantages:
- It will cost me money

Buying a cocktail for a girl in Sydney costs me $20, a beer $10, a hotel costs $100-$200... 7.99 pounds (AUD 15) a month? LOL As long as I'm still getting a couple of hotties a week, bring it on, I'll happily pay.

I imagine the new like limit will not affect attractive women (they hardly need to swipe 100 guys a date), but it could be devastating for whales.

First, they will be limited in their likes and, second, guys are more likely to be very selective in their likes, only swiping on attractive women.

Will be very interesting to see how it affects the match rate.
