I've lived in both UK and USA (im a brit). The UK owns America in terms of day to day eating. The food sold in supermarkets is a much higher quality. In saying that though, the USA has the best steak houses in the world. USA has more takeaways/fast food places but I wouldn't eat there because they are always greasy with the most disgusting staff who work there. The steak also sold in the USA isn't the as good as some cuts of meat in the UK. American water also tastes like piss (srs).

Someone's never been to Newcastle. Manchester brown ale is better. It won't get sold in America though. Oh and Newkie brown is nothing as bad as bud and coors. That's like Carlsberg. Never bought it for what it may claim to be. I'm a dark beer fan in general, but love that honey finish of the Newcastle. Not even made in Newcastle anymore. Now made in North Yorkshire. My favorite British beer is still a Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout. Just hard to find over here, though.
