He says 23 inches here

Really doesn't matter, no matter what the measurement he has a gigantic neck especially for his size.Last edited by 2kool4skool; 08-08-2007 at 04:05 PM.

27 inches is huge. i don't think that hes got a 27 maybe 23 but he'd look so weird with a 27 inch one.
does any one have a pic of a 27 inch neck?

I've talked to people who have seen Hughes and Penn in person. 5'7" is verified by more than 1 person for each of the 2 fighters.
Same for Ken Shamrock. His real height of 5'10" is common knowledge.
People posted on Sherdog about seeing Baroni and him being really about 5'8.
I got 5'10 for Fedor from the photos of him standing next to Tyson and Tyson is 5'8.5". 5'8.5" is verified by Tyson himself and verifiable by watching the video of him standing next to the 5'8 Eddie Murphy. Note that some people mistake Murphy for 5'9 but he's really 5'8. This is evident when he stands next to the 5'9 Jamie Foxx.

No offence, but "eyeballing" someone's height isn't an exact science either.
No sense in debating this any longer really. I'm not saying that I believe everything I read about fighters, but a 3-4 inch height difference is a pretty good streatch outside of Professional Wrestling."Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"

judging by height by eye isn't accurate, my uncle is 1 inch shorter than me and i look alot taller. my dad is 6'1 and he looks short compared to me..alot shorter.
some days i feel and look short, otherdays i tower over people..it's strange.

"There is no secret routine, there is no magical number of reps and sets. What there is, is confidence, belief, hard work on a consistant basis, and a desire to succeed. This is what I mean when I say accept your limits and when the time is right, you will push right through your limits time and time again, mentally and physically."

I would estimate Tyson is about 5'9 1/2'' -- announcers said he was that early in his career and it looks right. He's admitted being 5'10'', don't know about 5'8 1/2''...

27" no way
Biggest neck I have seen in all sports is former LB Takeo Spikes 6'2" 240lbs
According to Wikipedia
Takeo Spikes is recognized and known for the size and strength of his neck. He’s been called “the most jacked linebacker in the NFL.” [16] Spikes himself measures his neck at 21 inches. At one point in his career he could bench 490 pounds. He was featured in ESPN magazine’s The Body Issue in 2012 with a focus on his neck and trapezoids.[17]Contact me about our author Program
