I still think they're largely wasting their effort on PvP stuff. I mean, if I wanted that I'd play a game set up for that. Is anyone here into PvP at all?
New leagues sound like fiddly stuff that won't matter. Like in that Diablo 3 panel where they talked about giving monsters complex ******t behavior, when all that happens is you squish the thing in 1.5 seconds.

Torment Challenge League
Torment is the upcoming standard Challenge League. In the Torment league, your adventures are haunted by the spirits of tormented criminals that yield their ill-gotten gains when slain. Eager to protect their trove, these spirits flee when encountered and imbue nearby monsters with dangerous powers, which improves their item drops. It's also possible for spirits to possess rare and unique enemies, greatly increasing their threat (and value!) to treasure-seeking exiles. We'll be releasing a video showing the Torment league in action soon!
Bloodlines Challenge League
Bloodlines is the upcoming hardcore Challenge League. Each pack of magic monsters has a shared Bloodlines mod that greatly influences combat - sometimes while the pack is still alive, and sometimes after it has been killed.
Where Nemesis involved individual rare monsters gaining an additional power, Bloodlines revolves around groups of monsters with synergistic powers. Various strategies are needed for approaching the different Bloodlines, as there are a wide variety of effects, such as constructing an Animated Guardian piece-by-piece or monsters becoming immortal while near their slain brethren.

I guess I'll play a wand shadow with the new skill. I'll call it a "Pulsar Shadow" because it sounds cool. And since it doesn't sound retarded, the name will never catch on.
I will of course be taking pierce off the tree and the projectile weakness curse and will not be using chain or LMP. Why do we even have a Pierce support gem, anyway?
Also I just googled kripparireiran's yootoob to see if he's taken twelve minutes out of his life to stop playing sub-par card games and was shocked to see a Diablo 2 vid in the sea of Modern Blizzard drivel.

Got ghostflame footprints with the 60 points i had left... now i need to decide just how many points i need. think its time to get the crypt sword, and for some reason i have 2 tentacle wings but no seraph wings so time to rectify that lol, stash tab bundle coz yea why not, possibly demon king horns....
That acid scorpion is looking real good right about now, but 27 usd for one mtx is surely too much... right... right ..
oh lawd what have they done.
I do wanna get a supporter pack this time though, might aswell.
Edit: Looks like you can only update from points you've spent during forsaken masters etc not all time yea. $75 to upgrade to journeyman, naah dont think so.╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮ PhD in Swag - Acquiring 'Champion of The Earth' status.

Ha nice. Got Journeyman a lil while ago, decided might as well since it wasn't much for an upgrade after this weekend's splurge and just wanna be an official GGG supporter tbh lol.
Spent the weekend deciding if i actually want seraph wings, probs not but finally just got one since points i got from journeyman upgrade fit perfectly, tried em on, put tentacle wings back on ha. Maybe one day.╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮ PhD in Swag - Acquiring 'Champion of The Earth' status.

Lightning Tendrils and Herald of Thunder is all they added.
They're doing this thing now where content pushes are accumulated together and pushed out with new leagues. With some $ into advertising and media to get bigger player number rebounds. Eight skill gems are coming in 1.3 for example. Which is way easier to get Katakukuku to write about than "one new skill, that is all." [1]
The experiment where they were pushing out a skill every two weeks caused more work for them (gotta make sure the patch is tight and stay after work to put out the fires when it breaks something inevitably), and wasn't effective at maintaining hyperu, since it was like "hoo hum, one new skill, like every other week."
So I guess we're only going to see like one skill update in the middle of a league from here on out.
[1] Nobody knows what a path of exile is! Seriously.

Jesus, I feel bad these guys have to put up with customers like this.
The amount of humility for Carl to reply back civilly, wow.

Sucks that the community unique discussion has a crit synergy item in the options at all. That's what poe needs, another reason to go crit lol.
Heard crit has been nerfed/changed on tree, and same for block. Will be theory crafting after work tonight but have to tear Myself away by tomorrow till after an interview on Monday, dis gon be hard!!╭∩╮(︶︿︶)╭∩╮ PhD in Swag - Acquiring 'Champion of The Earth' status.

Ok, I reviewed their draft preview of the new tree. The tldr of it; Templar boofed too much, the Duelist is dunked in a pile of doodoo, and everyone else is the same. So, boring consensus basically.
Like the boofs to Firestorm specifically. Knockback being next to Iron Grip is nice. Renames for the Minion notables are better. They have a "Elemental Wand Damage Notable" situation where they used "Executioner" as a stat name twice. I think that's kind of funny, that little things like that show they don't quite have the tree memorized front and back.
Flame Totem is basically beast mode now. 8% life regen, basically no mana troubles for zilch cost... I think its stronger than the Witch Zone. It's like Celestial Punishment was made for Flame Totem and Firestorm.
I think I'll finally make that Frost Wall+Firestorm guy. Pewpew.
That's what poe needs, another reason to go crit lol.Last edited by IronRooster2; 12-04-2014 at 11:56 PM.
