I know this is a bodybuilding forum, but you guys are always really positive about powerlifting and specifically with my journey. So I hope you enjoy...
As for the meet, I was disappointed as you could probably tell from my voice. I had gone in with the expectations of hitting at least a 530 squat, 370 bench and 585 dead. That being said I don't think it was from a lack of strength, rather some "difficult" conditions. Im not sure Im allowed to speak poorly about this meet (since I am in the IPF, and they say you're not allowed to), but to put it nicely.. it was an interesting meet.
That being said, Nationals in April will give me a shot to really show what I have worked so hard for (Im also incorporating a belt which might help a bit lol).
If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help.
My entire 8 week prep leading up to the meet is on my Youtube Channel. Actually, every training session since June is on the channel. So if your interested in seeing what I do to prep/peak or what my off-season/base cycle stuff looks like, you can check it out there.
