HORRIBLE PRODUCT.
This product is NOT 5,000 calories per serving. Okay technically it is, but the company that makes this is so misleading and hides details such as the sugar content in its products. Russian Bear is only 5,000 calories if you make 5 scoops of it (which comes out to 5 different shakes) and no one is going to drink 5 protein shakes in a day. You'll end up puking your brains out and feeling like ****.
In reality most people only drink one protein shake a day, right after work outs… So with that being said, the ACTUAL calories per serving with whole milk is 850 calories and 27g protein..but wait here's the best part. 63 GRAMS OF SUGAR
This product is a joke.

I wrote a review of this stuff in the store, but basically its only virtue is that it tastes good, if you like the overly sweet ice cream type of taste. Everything else about it sucks IMO. Stuff hasn't changed in over 20 years. My biggest beef about it is, they conceal a lot of important info about the source of the carbs and protein. They try to make up for that by including bull**** you don't need, like Sikadeer Antler powder, lol.
Now, there's a new company with a product called Russian Bear 10,000 (instead of 5,000). They're on ********. Apparently they bought the rights to the name......Not sure. But that product doesn't look very trustworthy either. Just my 2 cents.

This reminds me of a funny story.
- Self-proclaimed 'hardgainer' cannot gain weight.
- Claims to eat a whopping 10,000 calories per day.
- Request to evaluate his diet.
- Weider Giant Mega Mass 4000 appeared twice.
- He thought name correlated with calories and assumed he was consuming 8000 calories through supplements alone.
- Turns out he was under reporting his caloric intake by around 7000 calories per day.PEScience Representative

People who buy this product are worse than the product itself.
Vision is purpose, and when your purpose is clear so are your life choices. Vision creates faith and faith creates willpower. With faith there is no anxiety, no doubt - just absolute confidence. R.I.P ZYZZ - YOU WILL BE MISSED BRAH March 24 1989 - August 6 2011

They have another called 4000 too. Only difference is the protein blend has 5 types instead of just 2. Oh and they added a dab of creatine. Otherwise it's they're both full of maltodextrin and fructose. And both give you the exact same 400 cals per 100g serving.
Anytime I see a calorie number on the front of the package, it's a sign the company is being childish and isn't worth taking seriously. The fact is, if you took a 100g scoop of any gainer, it's going to give you about 400 calories, plus or minus 10% or so. Quit with the BS and stop insulting people's intelligence. O wait..Last edited by hthoma; 09-22-2014 at 06:48 AM.
