Could be very useful for America, they've partly funded the Iron Dome. Part of the deal was the US gets access to the data coming from Iron Dome, and the outcomes of what parts of the project worked.

Basically, Iron Dome is like the world's best testing ground for the US to develop their own missile defense system. Could be useful in the event of a future nuclear war, pretty fascinating stuff. Good strategic move by America.

There is a system to detect incoming explosives, and one to update and analyze the trajectory mid-flight for interception. It is designed to eliminate the explosive in a safe manner, minimizing debris, and doing so where nothing is supposed to fall in the friendly area. They are maneuverable, and supposedly cost effective, some protected villages may have an Iron Dome interception truck outside their village... Got nothing the the US though.

OP, if you think that's nuts google "Davids Sling" which is Israel's next big project. Also google "trophy anti tank missle defense system" which Israel also developed which to me is something out of Star Wars.

If Israel can make it another decade or two, their tech will probably be akin to comic book stuff (think ironman).
