Wrote a blog post that is pretty meaningful. Read, comment, tell me what you think.
http://thegoodmoodfooddude.blogspot....lth-reset.html
TL;DR version:
-4 principles to abide by: being, nutrition, connection, exercise
-Must live in accordance with all four
-10 days is all you really need to start truly living
-21 steps to reclaim health are listed in the link at the bottom
Love ya'll. Good luck on your journey.
EDIT:
I keep getting asked what my credentials are, and what makes me different than everyone else....
I do believe that I am different than most. I believe that what separates me from most is I try everything out on my own and self-experiment/ self track incessantly until I get answers. This is why I feel so strongly about my recommendations - because I believe in them beyond just what the book says. The problem is that often, people just regurgitate stuff they heard or read somewhere with no real basis for it. Same thing goes for people who found one thing that works and recommend that for everyone - one size fits all .
I am not selling anything. I do this purely because I enjoy helping people. I am passionate about health and well-being. I want to promote wellness to as many people as possible in an enthusiastic and genuine manner. I truly care. So take what I say for what it's worth.
People are coming in here knocking my recommendations or claiming that what I am saying is false. They do this without evidence or alternate solutions.... One principle to live by is before you criticize or point out that someone is doing something wrong, provide an alternative. This thread can be a very helpful thread to many people but instead is getting people upset. Before you reply, think about your response. Are you going to claim that this is all bull****? Or are you going to point out why I am wrong, and then have something useful to say?

Does "bulking" take priority over your health for the rest of your life? Why not "bulk" and abide by these principles, keeping fat gain almost non-existent while at the same time feeling better, leaner, more energy, stronger, and overall more happy? Just a thought. You do what you do. It is a choice. Good luck on your journey.

OP, srs Q. What makes you different from the thousands of other self-help fitness gurus on the internet? I see so many brahs spending time on these pursuits hoping to become stars or entrepreneurs or what not, but there's just so little money in it and you're all interchangeable. Not hating, just curious.

Rhadam,
I am sorry that you thought my post referred to sugar. While I did quote his response, I was replying towards the "bulking" factor. I do not feel your attack on my intelligence was warranted as I did not say either of the things that you mentioned in your post. I truly hope such hostility does not come across in your life when you disagree with something.
Have a wonderful day.Subscribe to The Strength Project :

In response to this - my recommendation is to cut out any added sugar. That means consuming things with OUT a label. Added sugar comes in various forms - cane sugar, HFCS, rice syrup ETC. ETC. Avoid things with added sugar - it will change your taste buds and also improve your gut microflora.
Bulking/ cutting ... it does not matter. If your intention is to gain muscle and limit fat intake, you do not need to consume added sugar regardless.
I do not claim to be different. I am merely giving advice based on what I've learned over the years. I have recorded/ tracked/ counted/ experimented/ and self-hacked various different things and want to share the knowledge I've acquired through these various pursuits so other people can avoid the same mistakes I've made. I also simply want to share the truth. I am not spreading bull**** or lies - just things that have worked for myself and others. Things that are loosely based on science but also anecdotal evidence. I am not an expert - I am learning. And in my lifelong quest for knowledge I want others to join in my journey so we can all rise together.Subscribe to The Strength Project :

Just a dude who has experimented a lot and loves to dig into research and learn.
That is a broad rule of thumb. After 2 PM caffeine can reduce sleep quality. Sleep quality is the most important thing for overall health.
I would limit fruits to 1 or 2 servings per day, preferably on workout days.. No sugar = no added sugar.Subscribe to The Strength Project :

Actually - after thinking about this for a second... I do think I am different.
