A good fan should help a lot. When do you work out?
This week has been very hot, still hovering around 100F at 8.00PM. It's been tough getting thru the workouts, because the heat just drains my energy. I got really dizzy after squats and deadlifts. I thought about doing the cutting version of ICF or just quitting early. I had to take very long breaks. Drinking ice cold water didn't help. Actually having too much water sloshing in my stomach made me feel sicker. I finished though!
The tuna and salmon sashimi was a fantastic reward. Delicious.

It varies since I try time the workouts for whenever the headaches are at it's lowest. So anything between 10am and 3pm, if it doesn't get better by 3pm I try to push through it and see how it goes.

work is my current issue. I'm super busy. I'm actually thinking of taking next week off, which would be perfect timing because the program would be moving to phase 2 just so I could go in early each day to ensure i hit all my deadlines, which are wed, thurs, and fri. I hate unplanned breaks from the gym, but life happens. Thing is, this program is so intense I don't think my body would mind the mid program break.

It's italian pork sausage...completely different from a hot dog! The only similarity they share is they're the same shape lol.
This
Nice find barb, I look forward to the food pics
Same, a good sausage with mustard on it is so hnnnnnng
I would have went with sauerkraut but I'm the only one in my house who likes it so we rarely buy any :3

Pfft, pork sausage = hotdog, italian or not Especially if it's in a bun!
Not that keen on those kind of sausages, I do love my Reindeer, moose, red wine, game, deer and horse sausages. This kind of stuff:
The Norwegian food style is pretty interesting, got dinners etc. that are boring as hell. But we got awesome smoked, salted, dried or cured meats and sausages with all kinds of different animals, spices and fruits even.My story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:

Yes, not 100% horse sausage, but a lot of the traditional sausages (especially dark ones) contain 10-40% horse meat/heart.
Quite a good chunk of the pre-oil nation traditional recipes contains more "unusual" meats by today's standard since we were poor and didn't want to waste anything back then.
Like Smalahoved (the sheep/lamb head) , horse, meat from pigs head was/is pretty common in liver pate. Norwegians back in the day were not fussy about what they at and a lot of the old recipes are still being used today. Most people are not aware of it though and are usually shocked when you tell em what they just ate actually containsMy story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:

ha, my tastebuds say way different. If you ever get the chance to have an actual 'hot dog' you'll understand what I mean. To call a sausage like brautwurst (or even the 'italian' kind a lot of Americans eat) a hotdog is kind of like calling a pastry candy.

Don't know if the meat was made of as gamey of combinations though...think was mostly pork.Last edited by missladyj; 08-01-2014 at 06:35 PM.

Everything actually looks quite delicious. I think in this case, ignorance is bliss.
When I visited my friend in Germany, we always had big lunches, but for dinner, she would get fresh bread, various sausages, and cheese every night. I loved it.

Okay, MLJ, here's my attempt at plating sashimi. I know. It's terrible. Lol! It tastes really good though.

I'm like a rolling stone today. Hike with friends in the foothills done. Heading down to bay now (or at least trying to) to hike a local peak there. Traffic is really crazy right now though.
My friend did really well today. I was proud of her. I ended up picking a 3-mile trail which was a very good thing, because the friend she brought along struggled, especially the last 1/2 mile, and felt like throwing up at the end.
Ron was right on the cake break. I think their blood sugar dipped a little low. They had to stop to eat a snack (Granola bar and a PB&J sandwich).
All in all, I think it was a good experience. Hopefully, it motivates them to move more.
Hope everyone's enjoying their Saturday!

Dammit, forgot to get things to smoke meats.
Saying "smoke stuff" or saying "smoke meat" doesn't really leave much to say that isn't double entendre that refers to the process so I'm stuck with one of them!
lol IRL here though, and went to rep but on spread.Lift heavy things, eat according to your goals.

It's delicious stuff.
One of my favorite is the Christmas tradition "Fenalår" , basically a sheep leg that's been salted and then dried for several months+ especially the smoked kind is awesome.
We usually get one or two in November or start of December and it pretty much lasts all of Christmas, awesome snack when your feeling for something salty and tasty.

You Americans can get Fenalår and other stuff here: http://www.scandinavianfoodstore.com...roducts_id=180
It's not smoked though, has to be smoked with beech and Juniper if you prefer smoked meat.My story going from obese to fit while battling daily chronic headaches:
