OSU/IU here (pretty much Buckeyes for football)
Last season was OSU's best chance since maybe Pryor's last season to run the table. When they got to the title game they were completely beat up and of course MSU's solid defense beat 'em up some more. The bad thing about Urban's spread offense especially when running power so much like he did with Hall/Hyde it really wears not only on the backs, but the receivers and the OLineman because they're getting mashed up 2 out of 3 plays.
MSU also played a better game there and by the time they got to the Orange I think their bodies were willing but those guys looked VERY tired, slow and not particularly physical against Clemson.
Hopefully they make the post season this year with so many new guys and hopefully it goes better than last year. And of course need to beat Michigan.
VERY excited though, I just love college football.. heck I'll turn on a game like BYU vs. Fresno St. and be content watching.

lol I'm sure yall will beat us by 30+ but I was also sure about that 2 years ago. Glennon was in fire in the second half though. I don't know how many defenses would have been able to stop him. I actually thought 2010 was more exciting. Russel Wilson leading the comeback and then the goal line fumble at the end. Thinking about that game makes me moist.

The backstory on the Clemson game made me respect those guys a whole lot more. Like when they reported that Jeff Heuermann couldnt eat for 3 days and had to take multiple bags of IV just to play. Not having Roby and Spence played a huge role, but oh well. New season, new-look secondary

Our offense will be unpredictable in the 2 biggest games of the year because they're played early in the year. We didn't lose a star RB. McDowell went Undrafted and Tajh wasn't that good as everyone thought so. Stoudt is a better QB. Watch tape on him and come back. He just doesn't have that 3rd & 1 physical features to smash it in for the 1st down. We are deep at RB this year. We are deep at WR with a 5* WR coming off injury from last year. I could see our offense looking like Auburn last year but with a better accurate QB compared to marshall

Stoudt isn't better than Boyd. There was a reason McDowell was the starter. You guys have recruited well at the RB position so that won't be a big step back(maybe not any). David Williams will be a monster at the WR spot, but Watkins was one of the best WRs I've seen in a while so you guys will take a step back in that area. What does clemson lose off the line?

Every time he played SC it was bad...
In 4 career games versus South Carolina
564 Passing Yards, 2 Passing TD, 5 INTS, 1 Rushing Yard, 2 Rushing TDS, Wins 0, Losses 4 (3 as a starter)
An average of 141 Passing Yards, .5 Passing TDS, 1.25 INTS, .25 Rushing Yards, .5 Rushing TDS Per Game, Win Percentage .000
In his other games...
In 42 career games not involving South Carolina
10,952 Passing Yards, 100 Passing TDS, 32 INTS, 1037 Rushing Yards, 23 Rushing TDS, Wins 36 (31 as a starter), Losses 6
An average of 261 Passing Yards, 2.38 Passing TDS, .76 INTS, 24.7 Rushing Yards, .55 Rushing TDS Per Game, Win Percentage .857
And I do think Watkins made him look better than he really is...but you don't break Phillip Rivers' ACC TD record by being bad. He's a good QB, and Watkins was the best WR in the ACC since Calvin Johnson. You don't lose those two guys and have a better offense the next season.
