After re-watching seasons 1-4 I noticed something about the visions of Bran (at the tree) and Dany (House of the un-dying).


Both of them pictured the throne room, wrecked from above during winter with snow covering the ground. Also in Brans vision he saw the shadow of a dragon engulfing Kings Landing. I think that indicates that Dany will sit on the throne during winter?

WW might care about it. we don't exactly know their intentions or anything about them except they're intelligent, sentient, and well organized. they do have a social hierarchy as well.

Why didn't the men holding the gate unload a bunch of arrows into the giant as he stormed towards them? They had literally just killed a giant with an arrow, and they had a situation perfectly tailored to taking the giant down with no harm to themselves. Narrow tunnel filled with a giant, metal gate with large grates to shoot arrows through....those 5 fuks should all still be alive.

This. While the smaller arrows wouldn't kill him, they could shoot him with some fire arrows, giant burns before he even gets to them.

I don't think arrows would've have taken him down. Look at the wildling general who took 3 arrows and still lived. Also, unless the giant was doused in oil, humans and animal skin aren't instantly flammable. Still, being wounded would make fighting him easier. Crossbows have greater penetration and have a chance of damaging a major organ or artery.

I am surprised by the lack of polearms in and around the garrison, and throughout the entire land in general. Spears, lances, and halberds cannot swing in tight quarters, but are very effective at stabbing and STOPPING an advancing foe at a relatively safe distance.

sure we all like some scenes from the wall and fighting, but the entire episode? meh

I really liked the last episode

it is nice to have a couple of episodes where there is a lot of action, I love the scenes in kings landing etc as well but the last episode was a good break from all that. I also didn't mind how the whole episode only focused on the wall,now if it had been a whole episode on Bran's story or Danys then I would have found it a bit dull

Im quite surprised how many people dislike jon snows story arc, it is probably my favorite one alongside Tyrion and Jamies.

This is why we need Netflix to gain a monopoly and just fund every show ever, so seasons can just be released all in one like House of Cards. People would not have bished about last night's episodes, were they able to just move on to the next episode, after taking the 3 seconds to skip the credits.

Depends entirely on what it was about. If it had an epic battle like the previous episode, with dragon action, etc, then I'd love it, no doubt.
