Might work for regular belts but manistee belts have broguing all the way to the tip (no homo)... if you were to shorten one you would have a weird ass looking tip because of the broguing that abruptly stops and 'falls off' the belt.
Unless... you make it a square tip, which would still involve staining/sealing the end of the belt to match the rest of the leather.
But if you can find a cobbler who can do it.... INNNNLast edited by CyclistOfPeace; 03-27-2014 at 08:24 AM.

425+.
I mean, all things considered if you're not a powerlifter, who gives a chit if you strap up or not.
That said, i'm usually not elitist about training methodology but straps are one of the only things i'd consider a bitch crutch. There's almost no direct carryover to unequipped stimulus, which isn't true for things like a belt.
If you have standing legitimate wrist issues, tendonitis, arthritis whatever, then of course do what you need to do to train.
But on the real, if you can't even hold the phucking weight in your hands, you've got a problem.
That said, the only specific training i've ever done for grip is Kroc rows. But not even proper 2x20 sets. I just do my DB rows heavy and hard as phuck. perfect form be damned since I don't give a chit about growing my lats anymore. I move the 125's for 5-8 and the 115's for 20+.
Plate pinches, fat grips etc? Fuk that. Specialized grip work is necessary if you're a 600+lb puller, yeah. But if you can pull 445x3 with straps but barely scratch 405x1 raw, you're developing a major crutch.be a lot cooler if you did

Up to 35% off at Bonobos site wide today.
Luckily I got close to damn near $300 in store credit. I returned stuff from last year to them (srs didn't like the fit anymore compared to other brands).
I don't really want anything maybe outside pants. I've found their pants fit me better than other brands, but their shirts not so much even though I like their designs.A hit was sent, from the President, to raid your residence /

That's extremely beautiful handwriting. I learned cursive in elementary school (I went to private school during those years) and for years I used that as my primary style of writing. It's so faster than print. Still I never had that level of penmanship.
Now years of typing commands on a computer, documents, etc my handwriting is akin to that of a doctor
I've considered taking a class on penmanship (srs). Another thing in the bucket list.
Here's an example of my handwriting
More straight. Lots of loops in my cursive.Last edited by sword_; 03-27-2014 at 08:48 AM.

For any brah's who like Charles Tyrwhitt there is a deal on livingsocial for 25 for 50 or 50 for 100. CT has pretty much replaced BB as my go-to as they are always sending me coupons and doing livingsocial/groupon deals which combined with their multi-buys make them cheaper than BB with what I would say is comparable quality. Plus their extra slim fit shirts fit like a glove.

Sooooo I lived. Rode twice last night because after the first ride (video below) I thought I could do better. Second ride was worse than the first Still not too bad for my first time I think. I do enjoy this and think I'll be doing it a few more times for sure. I'll be riding again on Friday

Pretty cool when old cowboys in the arena and bleachers were telling me I had a solid first ride and that I should keep after it.

My new Cole Haan Ascot II bit loafers just arrived:

Naw mane, the other end. Don't cut the tip, undo the stitching on the BUCKLE and loop, cut that end shorter, cut a new square hole for the stick piece on the buckle to go through and then sew it all back up. It won't look any different than factory, because that is basically the same way it is assembled.
If somehow you cannot find someone to do that you can always take it back, but it should be pretty straight forward.
Edit, here you go, this guy glues it first and then I guess stitches it off camera later.
I found a belt to go with my Elgins that is just a lil too long, I am going to try to do this myself in the next few weeks, will let you guys know how it goes.
Only two pairs this week Srb? Son I am..
Do you always polish new shoes? I was playing with my AE's last night trying t make sure they got some conditioning to break in right, but I guess it is not a bad idea to polish them out tha box.Last edited by JDizleSwoleizle; 03-27-2014 at 11:18 AM.

I'm going to take advantage of this sale @Bonobos. Thoughts on these?
http://bonobos.com/slim-tailored-sea...chinos-for-men
Yes I have green pants but these are more versatile than the Oxleys I have tbh. These are more of a spring green rather than mint. I will still wear both.
http://bonobos.com/slim-green-washed...-pants-for-men
Not sure how I feel about this green
http://bonobos.com/premium-selvage-s...ll-bleach-wash
Hope these fit. I'm leaning towards the stretch denim tbh.
Maybe...yes more green

What's up guys. Anyone have any good recommendations for super tough and rugged pants that don't look awful? I'm thinking I might have to buy some cargo pants and cargo shorts, but I'd rather not. They'll be worn all across South America and mountain trekking . I figured I'd come to you guys before I check out mountain sites.

@sword
double check the sizing on bonobos jeans... I bought some when they were final sale and I had some credit and I can barely get into them. Normally wear 32 slim for chinos and 32 regular was still tight as **** (don't even wear them anymore). Their jeans/cords are sized differently with a lower rise and are tighter in the legs than their chinos. I can't do Bonobos jeans/cords without needing to get them tailored.
(Cords fall under their denim cut)

Outlier is a very solid choice if you're looking to stay stylish as well (you might get robbed too)... but you're definitely going to break the bank. If I were you, I would just go for more durable (but less aesthetic) alternatives. I mean, jeans are durable and aesthetic.

Now I am pissed I only sent back my returns yesterday when they have been sitting in my car for a month. Would have jumped on this sale as they seem to be few and far between lately compared to last year when you could find a 20% off coupon all the time.
First green looks really nice, second just doesn't seem as versatile
White jeans actually look quite nice if the sizing works out.
Get the olive Chambray instead of that linen brah!

BB factory store, don't have the receipt on me but low 40's.
EDIT: forgot to mention...their belts are a mix of retail/346 brands. There were some 346 brand that were identical to the AE except for color, they were a bit darker. This one was from the factory store in Grand Prairie. Check Allen, I saw a few there yesterday.Last edited by CrewsBrah; 03-27-2014 at 12:39 PM.

Go to the factory store in Allen and find one of the AE for BB branded ones (not 346) and pay with a BB credit card. All accessories are 30% off till march 31st. Paying with the BB credit card will knock off an additional 25% or 55% total.
Retail store will not honor this. You can get 25% off at the one off McKinney if you pay with a BB credit card...15% with any other form of paymentLast edited by CrewsBrah; 03-27-2014 at 12:51 PM.
