YES, you can still build muscle at your age
In fact, most recent studies reveal new muscle can still be built into our 60s

When I hit 50 I was a fat 232lbs. Got motivated to lose weight after seeing a picture of myself in a swimsuit, and spent a year trimming down, and finally ended up looking fairly lean at 168lbs.

I've spent the last 4 years lifting consistency and staying on top of my food intake. Today I'm at 190lbs and look leaner at 190 than I did at 168. So some of my weight gain has to be from muscle gain. So, I'm going to say, heii yeah you gain muscle at 48.

Tips....learn to eat for your goals and lift consistently. Every thing you need to know about your diet is in the stickys in the nutrition section. That's where I started.

Good luck. You are going to love the way you feel if you stay with it.

    Yes, you can.
I'm open to any suggestions and have a difficult time accepting limitations without an honest effort on my part, you can count on that!

Food is the brick that builds your foundation. Eat food and lift heavy weights between 5-8 reps and the results come. Stagger the reps and exercises to prevent complacent muscle growth and eat as needed.
