Lurker here so my opinion doesn't mean much, but this has not been my experience with RPS. All three RPS meets I have competed in have had pretty strict judging. Can't believe the squat shown in the video above got passed.

I've hear a lot about RPS having "strict judging" as of late, but I have a feeling from some of the videos I have seen as their definition of "strict judging" as "just a little more stricter than the SPF".

That being said, my next meet is with the RPS because of how close it is to home. yay

To be honest though I don't have the greatest impression of Phil. He was in my flight at my last meet and he had a hissy fit when he was red lighted on depth during squats. Kind of made a scene and just seemed like a bitch thing to do, especially considering it was a fundraiser meet.

I was warming up with him and watched all 3 of his squats right from the stage. He definitely squats just low enough to get the lift passed and not a centimeter more.

interdasting, yeah I've only heard good things about their meets so far until Erick's comment because he's such a negative nancy. Hopefully that was just at that meet or is that certain judge.
